Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to simulating the effect of altering the speed at which a well stage is hydraulically fractured to determine a trade-off between energy usage and pumping time. In one aspect, a method of simulating attributes of a stage completion includes determining a first amount of energy used for a stage completion at a first rate during a well completion process; determining a second rate for simulating the stage completion, the second rate being different than the first rate; simulating the stage completion at the second rate by determining a second amount of energy used for the stage completion at the second rate; and comparing the first amount of energy to a second amount of energy used in the stage completion to determine a trade-off between energy usage and pumping time.

One or more aspects of the present disclosure are directed to cloud based applications that automatically and quickly identify start and end times of fracturing stages in real-time as well as one or more additional performance characteristics of the fracturing process. In one aspect, a method for real-time analysis of well data includes receiving treating data for a well in real-time, the treating data including one or more of a treating pressure channel and a slurry rate channel; preprocessing the treating data; identifying one or more stages of one or more fracturing processes in association with which the treating data is received; identifying, automatically and in real-time, a start time and an end time for each of the one or more stages; and generating a visual output of the start time and the end time of each of the one or more stages.

Real-time analysis of in-field collected well fracturing data

A method for identifying characteristics of well data comprises receiving hydraulic fracturing data comprising data channels from a stage or stages of a hydraulic fracturing sequence and preprocessing the data channel, which may include normalizing and recalibrating the hydraulic fracturing data. The method further involves generating one or more additional higher order channels based on the normalized and recalibrated hydraulic fracturing data, the one or more additional channels derived at least in part from parameters of the normalized and recalibrated hydraulic fracturing data. The system may combine the higher order channels with the accessed data channels, and further process, combine and otherwise identify hydraulic fracturing events at the well being hydraulically fractured based on the received hydraulic fracturing data and the one or more additional channels. From the identified events, the system may alter hydraulically fracturing attributes of a stage being completed and/or subsequent stages of the well or subsequent wells.

Methods and systems for processing time-series well data using higher order channels to identify features therein and alter hydraulic fracturing operations based thereon

Implementations described and claimed herein provide a system and methods for determining a minimum number of communication nodes to substantially cover a particular geographical area and for optimizing an extension of an optical network to provide service to the communication nodes. In one implementation, at least one parameter for one or more forces configured to control interactions of a plurality of nodes is received. Each of the nodes has a node range corresponding to an effective operational limit of the node. Boundary information defining a geographical area to which coverage by a network may be provided is received. The one or more forces are simulated to distribute the plurality of nodes. The simulation of the one or more forces causes the plurality of nodes to become positioned in an overall layout such that the defined geographical area is substantially covered by the node ranges.

The LNG market includes at least one buyer of LNG, at least one seller of LNG, and at least one means of transporting LNG. A plurality of inputs relevant to the LNG market are accepted. The inputs are configured to be input into the optimization models. One or more solution algorithms are interfaced with the optimization models. The optimization models are run using the interfaced solution algorithms to identify potential options in the LNG market. Uncertainty is accounted for in the identified potential options. The identified potential options are outputted.
