Compression sealing gasket for a liquid-tight fitting

A pivot joint having a housing member with a pair of opposing coaxially aligned bores in communication with an elongated channel transverse to the bores. A cylindrical member extends across the channel and rotates within the bores. The cylindrical member is longitudinally split to form a pair of clamping sections having a double-D configuration. A passageway is formed through the cylindrical member transverse to its axis and spanning across the split to define opposing concave bearing surfaces for receiving an axially adjustable rod therethrough. A locking clamp extends into the housing for locking the clamp sections together in a desired rotational orientation within the bores, thereby securely clamping the rod in a desired angular orientation as well as in a desired axial extension.

Multi-compartmental condiment shaker

A condiment and spice dispenser includes a cylindrical body member having circumferentially spaced open topped vertical compartments and a central circular top wall with a coaxial threaded upwardly directed shank. A circular cover is rotatably releasably secured to the top of the body member by a thumb screw member engaging the threaded shank and having a stub shaft registering with a central opening in the cover. A section of the cover corresponding to a compartment top opening is perforate so that the cover may be turned to provide access to a selected compartment while covering the others and bosses and depressions are formed in the confronting borders of the cover and body members to releasably lock the cover in a selected position.

Multicompartment condiment and spice dispenser

A grounding device includes an internally threaded collar having an end insulator bushing and provided in its outer peripheral face with a radial coupling socket which has regularly circumferentially spaced longitudinal grooves and a tapped axial bore in its base. A wire clamp includes an elongated base provided at an end thereof with a projecting polygonal shank which slideably engages the socket and grooves to permit the selective angular adjustment of and the angular locking of the wire clamp to the collar. A locking and fastening screw engages a bore coaxially formed in the shank and the tapped bore in the socket base. The wire clamp includes a stationary jaw integrally formed with the base and a screw advanced movable jaw.

Cradle type ground lug for conduit

A conduit connector includes an inner externally threaded member having an expanded medial hexagonal section, the opposite threaded end being engaged by nut members carrying compressible clamping rings. Each of the nuts is produced from a short length of cylindrical tubing or may be drawn from sheet stock whose outer section is expanded to form a hexagonal portion terminating in an inwardly directed lip and joining at its inner end an inner cylindrical collar section. The nut is then internally threaded to form a continuous thread in the collar section and an extending discontinuous thread on the inner face of the hexagonal section.

Electrical conduit connector

A conduit hanger includes an inverted U-shaped bracket having laterally spaced depending legs swingable supporting at their bottoms closure arms. The closure arms are swingably between a closed position extending toward each other and gravity urged toward such position and being urged upward under pressure to an open position providing bottom access between the bracket legs. One or both closure arms may be provided with openings proximate their inner ends and the other arms may be provided with depending legs for engaging a respective opening. In another form, a closure arm projects through an opening in one bracket leg toward the other and is pivotted at its outer end to the bottom of a link whose top is pivotted to the upper outer face of the bracket leg.

Cradle type conduit hangers

A universally angularly adjustable sealable pipe coupling comprises a first coupling member including a first outer internally threaded pipe engaging section and an inner socket section of increasing radii of curvature approaching its open end and a second coupling member including an inner ball section with inside and outside faces of increasing radii of curvature approaching an open free end, the ball section registering with the socket and a second outer internally threaded pipe engaging section. A tubular plastic locking member includes a locking section having a curved outside face engaging the ball section inside face and a coaxial tubular shank slideably engaging the inner end of the first pipe engaging section. The first and second coupling members are relatively universally angularly adjustable and are locked in the present position by tightening a pipe in the first coupling section to advance the locking member.

Universally angularly adjustable pipe coupling

An attachment for apparatus that is arranged to cut threads on a tubular workpiece. The attachment includes a vertically oriented chute for delivering a stream of the tubular workpieces, by gravity, to a retractable pin on which the lowermost workpiece is supported. A reciprocating member is provided with spring biased jaws for gripping and removing the lowermost workpiece from the pin at the receiving station. The workpiece is moved into opposition with a plunger which transfers the unthreaded workpiece to the thread cutting apparatus. After the threads are cut, the plunger then retracts, together with the threaded workpiece, which is stripped therefrom by a second pair of spring biased jaws and carried away from the plunger so that the now threaded tubular workpiece may be discharged. The first and second pair of jaws move in synchronism with each other and in timed relationship with the transfer member so that, as the lowermost, unthreaded tubular workpiece is being remove from the receiving station, the workpiece that has been previously threaded is concurrently being moved towards the discharge point.

Attachment for thread cutting apparatus

A fixture is disclosed for holding a tubular workpiece during the machining thereof. The fixture includes a base plate that is adapted to be placed over a mandrel that supports the workpiece. A pair of spaced apart blocks are slidably mounted on the base plate and each includes a plurality of roller means that depend downwardly therefrom. Guide means are provided for the blocks which are displaced towards the axis of the workpiece by means of a pair of opposed air cylinders so that the roller means engage the periphery of the workpiece and center the workpiece with respect to the axis of the mandrel. The workpiece may then be machined such as by forming external threads thereon.

Fixture for holding a tubular workpiece during the machining thereof

Apparatus is disclosed for assembling first and second tubular components in a telescoping, press-fit relationship with each other. The apparatus includes a rotatable, motor driven plate including on the periphery thereof a plurality of component support means, a portion of each being spring biased in a radially outward direction. The two components are partially telescoped into each other by hand and then are loosely mounted on the support means which travel along an arcuate path that is in opposition to a fixed cam having a decreasing radius with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotatable plate. The cam surface bears against and forces one of the components into the other component as the support means move therepast. A movable cam section is also provided to accommodate tolerance variations in the components. The movable cam section is positioned proximate the exit end of the fixed cam and is normally biased in a direction that will push the inner component further into the outer component. Means are also provided for adjusting the pressure of the spring that urges the movable cam section towards the telescoped components mounted on the support members.
