Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform substantially concurrent communications with a next generation network node and a legacy network node. The wireless device may be configured to stablish a first wireless link with a first cell according to a RAT, where the first cell operates in a first system bandwidth and establish a second wireless link with a second cell according to a RAT, where the second cell operates in a second system bandwidth. Further, the wireless device may be configured to perform uplink activity for both the first RAT and the second RAT by TDM uplink data for the first RAT and uplink data for the second RAT if uplink activity is scheduled according to both the first RAT and the second RAT.

The UE may transmit a resource map request message indicating preferred resource blocks, where each resource block may be defined by a time and a frequency. The UE may receive a confirmation message that may include a report regarding a set of resource blocks. The set of resource blocks may be from the preferred resource blocks included in the resource map request message. The UE may determine, based, at least in part, on the confirmation message, resource blocks to be used for the side-link communications and initiate the side-link communications using the determined resource blocks.

This disclosure relates to using a wake up signal in conjunction with cellular communication in unlicensed spectrum. A cellular base station may provide a wake up signal on an unlicensed frequency channel after successful completion of a listen-before-talk procedure. The wake up signal may include a preamble configured for coherent detection, and information indicating channel occupancy time for a cellular communication by the cellular base station and a cell identifier for the cellular base station. A wireless device may monitor the unlicensed frequency channel for a wake up signal, and may determine whether to monitor the unlicensed frequency channel for control channel signaling based on whether a wake up signal is received, and potentially also based on the contents of the wake up signal if a wake up signal is received.

For an anchor component carrier (CC), the UE wakes up to perform tracking updates on a plurality of successive DRX cycles. For the non-anchor CC, the UE determines a minimum update interval &#x394;t, and schedules wake-ups on a first subset of the plurality of successive DRX cycles based on the minimum update interval &#x394;t. For the first subset of the plurality of successive DRX cycles with scheduled wake-ups, the UE performs the tracking updates on the non-anchor CC and updates an FO delta between the anchor CC and the non-anchor CC. For a second subset of the plurality of successive DRX cycles without the scheduled wake-ups on the non-anchor CC, the UE applies the FO delta to correct for a frequency error.

The base station may configure a first BWP at a baseband frequency associated with the CDRX communication session as a default BWP, a second BWP with a wider bandwidth than the first BWP as a transmission BWP, and one or more third BWPs as resting BWPs. A wireless device may monitor a control channel for control information according to a first periodic pattern. Each period of the first periodic pattern may include multiple slots. The wireless device may receive control information during a first slot. The first slot may be a specified slot according to the first periodic pattern. The control information received during the first slot may schedule a data communication. The wireless device may monitor the control channel for control information in at least one slot that is not specified according to the first periodic pattern based at least in part on receiving control information during a specified slot according to the first periodic pattern.
