A cardiac activity measurement assembly for a sports equipment handle and the handle is disclosed, wherein the assembly includes an optical cardiac activity sensor configured to measure cardiac activity of a user, and an attachment element for floatingly attaching the optical cardiac activity sensor to a handle of sports equipment in order to reduce pressure on a measuring head of the sensor caused by a skin contact between the measuring head and at least one finger or a palm of the user when gripping the handle.

A portable apparatus includes an exercise-measurement circuitry that measures exercise-related measurement data related to a user carrying out an exercise, a communication circuitry configured to provide the portable apparatus with wireless communication capability, and a processing circuitry configured to a perform operations. The operations include receiving the exercise-related measurement data from the exercise-measurement circuitry, receiving configuration data from an external user interface apparatus over a bidirectional wireless communication connection established through the communication circuitry and capable of transferring payload data to both directions, processing the exercise-related measurement data according to the received exercise-related parameters in order to obtain advanced exercise-related data, and communicating the advanced exercise-related measurement data to the user interface apparatus over the bidirectional wireless communication connection.

Portable exercise-related data apparatus

A method, apparatus, and computer program for simulating a sensor device are disclosed. According to an embodiment, the method comprises: executing a simulator program capable of simulating operation of a plurality of exercise sensor devices; selecting a subset of the plurality of exercise sensor devices for simulation, said subset comprising simulated at least one exercise sensor device; establishing a wireless communication link with a counterpart apparatus of a user according to a communication protocol supported by the simulated at least one exercise sensor device; generating measurement data representing measurement data generated by said simulated at least one exercise sensor device; and testing compatibility between the simulated at least one exercise sensor device and the counterpart apparatus by outputting a parameter dependent on the generated measurement data to the display screen for display and to the counterpart apparatus over the communication link in a data structure used by the simulated at least one exercise sensor device.

Simulator tool for physical exercise device

An interface circuitry for a gym apparatus and the gym apparatus are disclosed. The interface circuitry comprises: a power transmission system interface to a power transmission system of the gym apparatus; a sensor interface to one or more sensors comprised in the gym apparatus and/or one or more sensors external to the gym apparatus; and a user interface connector connecting the interface circuitry to a casing of a portable electronic device serving as a user interface of the gym apparatus during a physical exercise performed with the gym apparatus. The interface circuitry includes a processing system arranged to cause the interface circuitry to process and provide connections between the power transmission system interface, sensor interface, and the user interface connector.
