The invention relates to a system for deviating part of an external panel of a motor vehicle, during an accident to reduce the impact energy of a person colliding with deviated part of the external panel. The part is displaced in a deviation direction that is opposite to that of an impact direction of the person. The system includes a device for deviating the part. The device is engaged at least at one point on the part and permits a displacement of the part in the impact direction, if a person collides with the part.

System for deviating part of the external paneling of a motor vehicle

The disclosed safety device for a motor vehicle seat may include a seat surface extending in a longitudinal direction of the seat, a securing element assigned to the seat surface; and an adjustment device operatively connected to the securing element for adjusting the securing element from a reclining position into a securing position in an event of a crash. The adjustment device is configured to reset the securing element from the securing position into the reclining position. The securing element is configured to act on the seat surface in the securing position such that the seat surface and the securing element counteract forward movement of a pelvic area of a person sitting on the seat surface in the longitudinal direction of the seat, without changing a spatial location of said seat surface.

Safety device

A safety device for a motor vehicle seat comprising a seat surface which extends along a longitudinal direction of the seat, a securing element assigned to the seat surface and a drive device which is operatively connected to the securing element and is activated in a crash situation, in order to move the securing element out of a starting position, without changing the spatial position thereof, so that the seat surface and the securing element oppose the forward displacement of the pelvis of a person sitting on the seat surface in the longitudinal direction of the seat.

Safety device for motor vehicle

The invention relates to an airbag system for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one inflatable airbag for protecting passengers. The aim of the invention is to influence, in different ways, the direction of expansion and depth of an airbag, irrespective of the cut of the airbag and irrespective of the course of the stitches of the airbag. According to the invention, at least one supplementary airbag is associated with a main airbag. Said supplementary airbag has a lower volume in order to increase the depth of deployment and/or to alter the direction of deployment of the main airbag.
