The invention relates to a sidelink communication device that includes a transceiver and a processor. The transceiver includes a plurality of antennas and is configured to communicate, using one or more of the plurality of antennas, with at least one neighboring sidelink communication device using one or more sidelink radio resources of a plurality of sidelink radio resources allocated by a network entity. The processor is configured to determine a measure of the ability of the sidelink communication device to suppress interference to and/or from at least one other neighboring sidelink communication device using one or more of the plurality of antennas. The transceiver is further configured to transmit, to the network entity, information about the measure for the ability of the sidelink communication device to suppress the interference for allocation of the one or more sidelink radio resources by the network entity.

Devices and methods for multi-antenna sidelink scheduling

A method for obtaining uplink calibration values in a terminal of a wireless communication system is provided, in order to enable a Base Station (BS) having a number of antennas to determine a respective hardware chain value for each antenna of the number of antennas, said method comprising calculating, by the terminal, an uplink calibration value for each antenna on the basis of a downlink channel estimate value for each antenna and a normalization value obtained from said downlink channel estimate values, and sending transmitting, by the terminal, the calculated uplink calibration value for each antenna to the BS. Allocation of CSI-RS or CSI pilot sequences among cells in a cooperative manner to reduce pilot inter-cell interference. Sequences in each cell occupy the same time slot, multiple subcarrier frequencies, and are orthogonal in time via properly chosen cyclic shifts. Sequences in multiple cells are chosen from a pool of non-orthogonal yet distinguishable sequences through their root indices. Exchanging root indices among cells allows a given cell to reconstruct sequences used in neighboring cells and to estimate interfering channels as the number of channel taps is usually limited, thus mitigating pilot contamination. Furthermore, a greedy selection algorithm to find combinations of sequences that further reduce the channel estimation mean-square-error is proposed.

A method for reducing interference at a terminal of a wireless cellular network is described. The terminal experiences interference from a plurality of interfering nodes in the wireless cellular network. The method includes selecting the precoders of the interfering nodes such that the sum of distances between the interference projector matrices for the terminal is minimized.

A method for determining a precoding vector for precoding data to be transmitted to a wireless device, includes receiving first channel state information of a channel between a first wireless device and a first base station. The first channel state information is received by the first base station from the first wireless device. The method includes receiving first channel gain information of a channel between a second wireless device and the first base station. The first channel gain information is received from the second base station. The method includes receiving a first signal strength parameter from the second base station and a first interference strength parameter from the second base station and maximizing a common signal to interference noise ratio parameter to obtain a precoding vector for precoding data to be transmitted to the first wireless device.
