Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for user equipment (UE) idle mode operations. In embodiments, a UE wakes up more than once during a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle. Inter-frequency measurement requirements may be relaxed based on DRX cycle length. Some embodiments include radiofrequency (RF) circuitry warm-up overhead reduction by on-duration separation with RF circuitry switching pattern adaption. Some embodiments include and RF circuitry warm-up overhead reduction by adaptive synchronization signal block (SSB) reference symbol down-selection. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Demodulation reference signal transmission from multiple base stations

A service device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a new radio NB (gNB), or other network component or network management component) can process or generate a Downlink Control Information (DCI) that schedules a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission in a PUSCH. The PUSCH transmission can be generated based on a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) according to a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform in uplink. A sequence of the DMRS can be generated based on a Gold sequence and a Pi/2 Binary Phase-Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation.

Herein described are apparatuses, systems, and methods for measurement and reporting of channel state information within wireless network systems. In embodiments, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) may include memory to store a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix index (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI) of channel state information (CSI) for the UE. The apparatus may further include circuitry to concatenate the RI, the PMI, and the CQI to produce a concatenated CSI element, generate a CSI report that includes the concatenated CSI element, and cause the CSI report to be transmitted to a base station within a single slot. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Channel state information concatenation and antenna port measurement

A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode control information of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) received via a resource within a control resource set (CORESET) occupying a subset of a plurality of OFDM symbols within a slot. At least one of the symbols in the subset coincides with a pre-defined symbol location associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) of a PDSCII. The DM-RS can be detected within the slot, the DM-RS starting at a symbol location that is shifted from the pre-defined symbol location and following the subset of symbols. Downlink data scheduled by the PDCCH and received via the PDSCH can be decoded, where the decoding is based on the detected DM-RS.

Collision handling of reference signals

Described is an apparatus of an Evolved Node-B (eNB). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to determine a first Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) sequence and a second SRS sequence. The second circuitry may be operable to process a first Uplink (UL) transmission from the first UE incorporating the first SRS sequence over a first set of subcarrier frequencies. The second circuitry may also be operable to process a second UL transmission from the second UE incorporating the second SRS sequence over a second set of subcarrier frequencies. The second SRS sequence may comprise at least a first block that overlaps the first set of subcarrier frequencies and a second block that does not overlap the first set of subcarrier frequencies.

Sounding reference signal sequence design

Communication in a wireless network using a phase-tracking reference signal (PT-RS) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) includes determining one or more PT-RS groups of adjacent subcarriers in a resource allocation for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), encoding data to be transmitted by the PUSCH or the PDSCH in data subcarriers within the resource allocation for the PUSCH or the PDSCH, and encoding phase-tracking reference signals within the one or more PT-RS groups of adjacent subcarriers.

Low peak-to-average demodulation reference signal design for physical uplink control channel

Technology for an eNodeB operable to decode a sounding reference signal (SRS) received from a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The eNodeB can decode the SRS received from the UE, wherein 5 the SRS is received using one or more SRS resources in a subframe where each SRS resource includes one or more symbols. The subframe can be an uplink subframe dedicated for SRS transmission or a short transmission time interval (sTTI) subframe used for SRS transmission. The eNodeB can determine uplink channel quality information for a channel between the eNodeB and the UE based in part on the 10 SRS.

Sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission framework

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate reduced density CSI (Channel State Information)-RS (Reference Signals). One example embodiment can be employed at a UE (User Equipment) and can comprise processing circuitry configured to receive and process a configuration message that comprises one or more configuration parameters for one or more CSI (Channel State Information)-RS (Reference Signal) APs (Antenna Ports) of a configurable density CSI-RS. The configuration parameters indicate a density of CSI-RS resource per Physical Resource Block (PRB) per CSI-RS AP and a PRB offset. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine a set of REs (Resource Elements) for the one or more CSI-RS APs of the configurable density CSI-RS based on the one or more configuration parameters and perform measurements on the configurable density CSI-RS from the set of REs to determine one or more CSI parameters. The one or more configuration parameters are provided per CSI-RS resource configuration.

Methods and apparatus are described for methods and apparatus for carrying out wireless communication using Long Term Evolution (LTE) in a frequency band with low peak-to-average-power. The approach includes precoding, in the frequency domain, a plurality of physical channel signals, followed by multiplexing, where the procoding is performed according to predetermined codes with a code length selected based on a length of an entire signal of the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals. In addition, the approach includes being configured to map the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals to subcarriers in the frequency band, as well to generate a time domain waveform based on the mapped signals.

System and method for DL transmission with low peak-to-average-power (PAPR)

In one example, a method for a user equipment (UE), includes receiving a configuration of a plurality of bandwidth parts (BWPs) configured with respective numerologies; generating a first pseudo-random sequence based at least in part on one or more of a physical cell ID, a virtual cell ID, a symbol index, a slot index, a frame index, a scrambling ID, or a UE ID for generation of a first DM-RS sequence, wherein a initialization seed for the first pseudo-random sequence is based on a scrambling ID and a slot index, wherein, for the plurality of BWPs a respective scrambling ID is associated with each BWP, and wherein the slot index is defined in accordance with the numerology of the associated BWP; and mapping, for a first BWP, the first DM-RS sequence to at least one DM-RS symbol.
