In one embodiment of the invention, the game is configured so that the odds of winning the game, and thus the payout for a winning outcome, depends upon the game equipment which is selected to be used in playing the game. In other embodiments, the payouts or awards offered to players are fixed and the difficultly level for achieving a winning outcome is adjusted by changing the game equipment used to play the game.

In one embodiment of the invention, the configuration of a skill-based game is dependent upon the skill level of the player or players. In some case, games are modified, such as to have a higher payout or lower difficulty, when criteria for modification are met based which are dependent upon a persona of the player.

A method and system are configured to generate user-specific information, such as wager-related information, for display on one or more display devices of a user. The system is configured to store user preferences, to determine a location of the user and a configuration of the user's display device(s), and to use the location information and at least one of the user preference information and group information to generate the user-specific information, and to configure the user-specific information based upon the configuration of the user display device(s), wherein when there is more than one user display device, the user-information and configuration thereof may vary for each device.
