A nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta composition and processes for the synthesis and use of the nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta. The nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta is synthesized using a hydrothermal treatment without drying and calcination of the zeolite prior to or after hydrothermal treatment. A process for hydrocracking a hydrocarbon feedstock using the nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta is also provided.

Methods of synthesis of mesoporous nano-sized zeolite beta by hydrothermal treatment and uses thereof

A nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta composition and processes for the synthesis and use of the nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta. The nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta is synthesized using desilication without the addition of a structure directing agent (SDA). A process for hydrocracking a hydrocarbon feedstock using the nano-sized mesoporous zeolite beta is also provided.

A method of processing a hydrocarbon feed may comprise fractionating the hydrocarbon feed into a light stream, a medium-light stream, a medium-heavy stream, and a heavy stream; passing the medium-heavy stream to a hydrocracker to produce a hydrocracked medium-heavy stream; passing the heavy stream to a delayed coker to produce a cracked heavy stream; and passing the medium-light stream, the hydrocracked medium-heavy stream, and the cracked heavy stream to a catalytic reformer to produce an aromatics stream.

Process and apparatus for converting crude oil to chemicals

A system for upgrading heavy hydrocarbon feeds, such as crude oil, include a hydrotreating unit, a hydrotreated effluent separation system, a solvent-assisted adsorption system, and a hydrocracking unit. Processes for upgrading heavy hydrocarbon feeds include hydrotreating the hydrocarbon feed to produce a hydrotreated effluent that includes asphaltenes, separating the hydrotreated effluent into a lesser boiling hydrotreated effluent and a greater boiling hydrotreated effluent comprising the asphaltenes, combining the greater boiling hydrotreated effluent with a light paraffin solvent to produce a combined stream, adsorbing the asphaltenes from the combined stream to produce an adsorption effluent, and hydrocracking the lesser boiling hydrotreated effluent and at least a portion of the adsorption effluent to produce a hydrocracked effluent with hydrocarbons boiling less than 180° C. The systems and processes increase the hydrocarbon conversion and yield of hydrocarbons boiling less than 180° C.

Systems and processes for upgrading crude oil through hydrocracking and solvent assisted on-line solid adsorption of asphaltenes

In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for producing aromatic compounds from pyrolysis gasoline includes splitting the pyrolysis gasoline into a stream comprising non-aromatic hydrocarbons and a stream comprising paraffinic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons; aromatizing the stream comprising paraffinic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons, thereby converting the stream comprising paraffinic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons to a first stream comprising benzene-toluene-xylenes (BTX); hydrotreating the first stream comprising BTX in a selective hydrotreatment unit, thereby producing a de-olefinated stream comprising BTX; hydrodealkylating and transalkylating the de-olefinated stream comprising BTX in a hydrodealkylation-transalkylation unit, thereby producing a second stream comprising BTX, the second stream comprising BTX having a greater amount of benzene and xylenes than the first stream comprising BTX; and processing the second stream comprising BTX in an aromatics recovery complex, thereby producing the aromatic compounds comprising benzene, toluene, and xylenes.

An integrated hydrotreating and hydrocracking process includes contacting a hydrocarbon oil stream with a hydrogen stream and a hydrotreating catalyst in a moving-bed hydrotreating reactor, thereby producing a hydrocarbon product stream and a spent hydrotreating catalyst; contacting the hydrocarbon product stream with a second hydrogen stream and a hydrocracking catalyst in a hydrocracking reactor, thereby producing a hydrocracked hydrocarbon product stream; processing the spent hydrotreating catalyst to produce regenerated hydrotreating catalyst; and recycling the regenerated hydrotreating catalyst to the moving-bed hydrotreating reactor.

This disclosure relates to methods of upgrading hydrocarbon feed stream, which can include separating the hydrocarbon feed stream into a heavy fraction and a light fraction, hydrotreating an aromatic feed stream with at least a first catalyst in a first reactor comprising hydrogen to produce a first product effluent, combining the heavy fraction with at least a portion of the first product effluent to form a mixed stream, and hydrotreating the mixed stream with one or more second catalysts in a second reactor comprising hydrogen to produce a second product effluent.

Methods for operating a system having two downflow high-severity FCC units for producing products from a hydrocarbon feed includes introducing the hydrocarbon feed to a feed separator and separating it into a lesser boiling point fraction and a greater boiling point fraction. The greater boiling point fraction is passed to the first FCC unit and cracked in the presence of a first catalyst at 500&#xb0; C. to 700&#xb0; C. to produce a first cracking reaction product and a spent first catalyst. The lesser boiling point fraction is passed to the second FCC unit and cracked in the presence of a second catalyst at 500&#xb0; C. to 700&#xb0; C. to produce a second cracking reaction product and a spent second catalyst. High-severity fluidized catalytic cracking systems and processes having partial catalyst recycle

This invention relates to a hydrodesulfurization catalyst, a method for preparing the catalyst, and a method for the preparation of low sulfur gasoline fuel with minimal loss of RON. The catalyst particles include a group VIB metal and a support material having relatively high surface area, and optionally includes one or more group VIIIB metal. The method for preparing the catalyst allows for greater loading of the active metal species on the surface of the support material under aqueous reaction conditions.

According to an embodiment disclosed, a feedstock hydrocarbon may be processed by a method which may include separating the feedstock hydrocarbon into a lesser boiling point hydrocarbon fraction and a greater boiling point hydrocarbon fraction, cracking the greater boiling point hydrocarbon fraction in a high-severity fluid catalytic cracking reactor unit to form a catalytically cracked effluent, cracking the lesser boiling point hydrocarbon fraction in a steam cracker unit to form a steam cracked effluent, and separating one or both of the catalytically cracked effluent or the steam cracked effluent to form two or more petrochemical products. In one or more embodiments, the feedstock hydrocarbon may include crude oil and one of the petrochemical products may include light olefins.

Systems and methods for the conversion of feedstock hydrocarbons to petrochemical products

The invention relates to a process for the desulfurization of a gasoline fraction with high recovery of olefins and reduced loss of Research Octane Number (RON). A petroleum fraction is contacted with hydrogen and a commercially available hydrodesulfurization catalyst under mild conditions with to remove a first portion of the sulfur present, and is then contacted with an adsorbent for the removal of additional sulfur.
