Vehicle access control is disclosed. In various embodiments, a vehicle reservation from a wireless communication device is received, the vehicle reservation is authenticated, and access to the vehicle is provided after authenticating the vehicle reservation. In various embodiments, a system for vehicle access control includes a vehicle access control component that is configured to provide access to a vehicle and a communication interface for communication with a wireless communication device, a communication interface for communication with a wireless communication device. Access to the vehicle is provided when a vehicle reservation is received from the wireless communication device.

A system and method for efficient and private peer-to-peer file sharing consists of ascribing a uniquely identified and anonymous link (an 'edgelink') to any file or set of files on a peer computer. The link is registered with a publishing server along with continuously updated connectivity information about the peer without registering any identifying information about the file. A peer recipient is able to access the link, receive connectivity information about the publishing peer from the server, and then receive the file from the publishing peer without file content passing through the server, mediating any intermediary NAT devices without requiring any manual or automatic device reconfiguration.

System and method for anonymous addressing of content on network peers and for private peer-to-peer file sharing

Any of various types of mail management information may be synthesized from data associated with physical mail items. For example, addresses, complete with addressee names, could be synthesized from data collected from physical mail items. Confidence information which indicates a measure of confidence that each synthesized address is a valid address could also be generated from the collected data. Intelligence functions may be provided to enhance address synthesis capabilities. More generally, input data for synthesis of mail management information could include data collected from physical mail items, other mail management information, or both. Features such as service delivery compliance management, network proficiency management, delivery route proficiency management, customer compliance management, a visibility service, address cleansing, delivery notification, addressee verification, synthesis of statistics, and/or synthesis of behavioral patterns could be implemented.
