A permanent magnet rotor for an electric motor may include a rotor assembly that will hold the magnets in place. A pair of rings is added to the sleeve to tightly engage and press against the end plates and the magnets. This configuration provides additional securement against axial and radially shifting of the magnets.

A vibration damping sleeve for a stator assembly having radial vibration isolator features at both ends is provided. At one end, the vibration damping sleeve comprises a groove for a damping element such as an annular gasket while a plurality of beams circumferentially disposed are at the other end. The plurality of beams may comprise mounting flanges for mounting the stator to a housing support.

An electronic assembly is constructed with an enclosed fluid-cooled cold plate. Pressurized cooling fluid is propelled through the cold plate to carry away heat from the electronic assembly. The cold plate is constructed from a plurality of enclosure elements which are attached together with a thermally-conductive adhesive. The adhesive may be cured at a low temperature of about 125&#xb0; C. The cold plate may be produced from thin metal without distortion or warping that might otherwise result from assembly at higher temperatures.

A composite resilient mount for rolling element bearings, comprising a composite hoop portion, and including a plurality of circumferentially dispersed inner pads and outer pads defining a plurality of arcuate beam portions disposed circumferentially between adjacent pads. The hoop portion and the inner and outer pads, may comprise a circumferentially wound fiber, such as a carbon fiber, and a resin. The inner and outer pads may be rounded, feathered or otherwise configured to eliminate edges from the inner and outer pads, thereby preventing damage to adjacent components. A method for providing damping to a rolling element bearing is also disclosed.

Composite resilient mount

An inner sleeve, having threads on each end, is formed on a motor or generator rotor. A pair of stub shafts are threadably attached to the inner sleeve at each end and a magnet is placed in between. The stub shafts are turned on the inner sleeve to bring them together, thereby creating an axial compressive force on the magnet. By keeping the magnet in a compressive state at all times, cracking of the magnet is prevented, thus keeping the rotor stable during use of the motor or generator. An outer sleeve is shrunk-fit around the magnet and stub shafts to provide a further radial force on the rotor. The magnet assembly of the present invention also enlarges the required radial shrink-fit tolerance of the outer sleeve on the magnet, thereby reducing costs conventionally required to match the outer sleeve to the magnet within close tolerances.

Method relating to a threaded inner sleeve for generator magnet

A circuit board damping assembly provides a damping node for a circuit board coupled in spaced relationship to another circuit board or chassis. The circuit board damping assembly includes a chassis or circuit board forming a base member; a circuit board coupled in spaced relationship to the base member; a first attachment member coupled to the base member; a second attachment member coupled to the circuit board; and a connector coupled between the first and second attachment members. The connector may be a wire coupled to the first and second attachment members.

Fiber holders, in combination with the nut assemblies, hold the fiber bundles in tension to provide a compressive force for maintaining component placements along the entire axial length of a turbomachinery rotor.

Threaded inner sleeve for generator magnet

The present invention provides a balance load actuator for effecting motion between a first part and a second part. An embodiment of the present invention comprises a main housing; a shaft; a motion transfer assembly; and a load balancing assembly. The balance load actuator receives substantial external loads through a load balance assembly and distributes the loads to the main housing, thus relieving undue stress otherwise exerted on the shaft and enabling lighter and smaller design components and construct.
