A system and method of use are disclosed that enable a simplified operational procedure of isolating portions of a well bore. Specifically, a self-venting setting tool is described, that in an embodiment, utilizes well bore fluid as the inflation fluid for a downhole packing device. Simply exposing the tool to a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure readies the system for the setting of downhole packing devices. Otherwise, a typical system may be required to undergo a complex venting procedure prior to deployment or be susceptible to failure due to gas regions within the wellbore prior to reaching a desired location for the subsequent wellbore isolation.

Downhole setting tool and method of use

A system and method are disclosed which enables the downhole provision of fluid to downhole tools that require fluid for pressurization. The system is prefilled with fluid at surface, is modular in design with a first module delivering fluid to second module and may additionally be mounted below the downhole tools requiring the fluid. Methods are disclosed which utilize the system in a bottom hole assembly during downhole operations for isolating segments of a borehole.

Modular downhole tool reservoir system

A bottom hole assembly comprising a downhole tool known as a cutting tool is provided for use within a subterranean well for severing tubulars. The cutting tool comprises a fluid source, a gas-driven rotatable motor and a cutting head including one or more cutters. The fluid source supplies pressurized fluid and thereby energy to the gas-driven rotatable motor which is disposed to generate thrust to set the gas-driven rotatable motor in motion. The cutting head is coupled to the gas-driven rotatable motor and rotates while cutting the tubular. The cutting tool can be deployed in a subterranean well by a variety of deployment methods, and the pressurized fluid may be supplied from a surface system, generated inside the cutting tool or bottom hole assembly, or input within the cutting tool or bottom hole assembly prior to deployment. Bottom hole assembly and methods for the utilization of pressurized gas as an energy source for severing subterranean tubulars

Automated systems are disclosed that enable the rapid provision of fluids to downhole isolation tools. This is achieved by automatically optimizing the use of power available downhole by providing a high flowrate when pressure demand is low and a lower flowrate when pressure demand is high. Methods are disclosed which utilize the apparatus in a bottom hole assembly during downhole operations for isolating segments of a borehole.

Systems and methods are disclosed that enable efficient well completion operations and provide the ability of flushing the wellbore before, during and after a fracturing or treatment operation, such that a resettable plug and associated bottom hole assembly is not trapped or buried by fluids and particulates in the hole and the sealing element of the resettable plug is not damaged. Systems and methods which mitigate and prevent accumulation of fluids and particulates above a resettable plug are also provided. Systems and methods for delivering pressurized fluid to a subterranean formation are also disclosed.

The invention discloses systems for improving performance and operational efficiency of wireline tractors. A cooling system improves power capabilities of electrical motors mounted in wheels, which are mounted on a linkage pivotably connected to an arm extended from a tractor tool body, in an in-line arm configuration. The linkage and arm mechanism significantly improve the tractor's ability to traverse wellbore obstructions. The hydraulic system of the tractor ensures adequate wellbore centralization.

System for the operational and performance efficiency improvement of wireline tractors

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a standoff assembly for a sucker rod used for sucker rod pumps. The assembly includes an annulus body, a hole that passes through the annulus body, the hole configured to permit a sucker rod to translate through the hole, a sliding material component located along the surface of the hole, and a temporary component; wherein upon elimination of the temporary component, the sliding material component interacts with the sucker rod to reduce sliding friction as the sucker rod translates through the assembly.
