The present disclosure is directed to a dosing cap (). In an embodiment, the dosing cap () includes (A) a collar member (). The collar member () has an annular skirt () depending from a base ()(B). An inner surface of the skirt has a securing member for securing the collar member to a neck () of a container (). The base (B) has (i) a top surface () and a bottom surface (), (ii) a valve seat () is present on the top surface of the base. The valve seat has a center channel (), and a radial channel (), the channels extend through the base. The dosing cap includes (C) a plug member (). The plug member is composed of a polymeric material. The plug member has the following components in inter-connected relationship: a head (), a body (), a leg (), an ankle (), and a flexible foot (). The leg extends through the center channel, such that the head opposes the valve seat on the top surface of the base and the foot opposes the bottom surface of the base. The dosing cap further includes (D) a cap member () having an annular sidewall () extending from a dispensing element (). An inner surface of the annular sidewall has an attachment member adjustably attached to a reciprocal attachment member on an outer surface of skirt. The dosing cap includes (E) a metering chamber (). The metering chamber is formed by an enclosed volume between the cap member and the base. The dispensing element (F) permits flow of a fluid from the metering chamber.

The present disclosure provides a dosing cap. In an embodiment, the dosing cap includes (A) a collar member having an annular skirt depending from a base. An inner surface of the annular skirt has a securing member for securing the collar member to a neck of a container. The base includes (i) at least one opening with a one-way valve permitting fluid flow in a first direction, and (ii) an air channel with a one-way valve permitting fluid flow in a second direction. The dosing cap includes (B) a cap member having an annular sidewall extending from a dispensing element. An inner surface of the annular sidewall has an attachment member adjustably attached to a reciprocal attachment member on an outer surface of the first sidewall. The dosing cap includes (C) a metering chamber formed by an enclosed volume between the cap member and the base. The dosing cap includes (D) the dispensing element permitting flow of a fluid from the metering chamber.

An apparatus comprising: (a) a mandrel; (b) an internal guide spaced apart from the mandrel; (c) an external guide extending around all or a portion of the internal guide and being spaced apart from the mandrel; wherein a pipe extends between the internal guide and the external guide and then over the mandrel so that the mandrel changes one or more dimensions of the pipe.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film comprises an inner seal layer. The multilayer films are arranged such that the seal layers oppose each other and the second multilayer film is superimposed on the first multilayer film. The multilayer films are sealed along a common peripheral edge. The flexible container includes an orifice in one of the multilayer films, and a pop-up spout extends through the orifice. The pop-up spout has a flange sealed to the multilayer film around the orifice. The pop-up spout comprises an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin multi-block copolymer.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film comprises a seal layer. The multilayer films are arranged such that the seal layers oppose each other and the second multilayer film is superimposed on the first multilayer film. The multilayer films are sealed along a common peripheral edge. The flexible container includes a fitment. The fitment comprises a base. The base comprises a polymeric blend of from 60 wt % to 90 wt % ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin multi-block copolymer and from 40 wt % to 10 wt % high density polyethylene (HDPE). The flexible container includes a fitment seal comprising the base located between the multilayer films. The base is sealed to each multilayer film at a portion of the common peripheral edge.

The present disclosure provides a seal bar. In an embodiment, the seal bar comprises a base member having a flat front surface and a flat recessed surface a distance (d) behind the front surface. The front surface defines an x-axis, X. The flat recessed surface has a first endpoint (A), wherein an axis that is perpendicular to the flat recessed surface at the first endpoint (A) defines a first y-axis (Y). The seal bar has a concave surface extending the distance (d) between the first endpoint (A) and a point (B) on the flat front surface. The concave surface defines a quadrant arc segment of an ellipse between the first endpoint (A) and the point (B).

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, a flexible container is provided and includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film has an inner seal layer. The flexible container includes an extendable spout extending through the orifice. The extendable spout has a flange sealed to the inner seal layer of the multilayer film at the orifice. The extendable spout is composed of, or is otherwise formed from, an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin multi-block copolymer.

Disclosed are multilayer film structures having annular profiles, and methods and apparatus of making the structures disclosed. The annular multilayer articles have a uniform thickness, at least four layers and comprise overlapped and non-overlapped circumferential areas; wherein the layer structure of the non-overlapped area is doubled in the overlapped layer. A method of making the structure includes providing a multilayer flow stream with at least four layers of thermoplastic resinous materials; feeding the multilayer flow stream to a distribution manifold of an annular die to form an annular multilayer flow stream; and removing the annular multilayer flow stream from the annular die to form the annular multilayer structure. Also disclosed is an apparatus, comprising: a feedblock, with optional layer multiplier, that provides a multilayer flow stream of at least four layers to the manifold of an annular die; and an annular die having at least one distribution manifold that extrudes a multilayer flow stream.
