A connector includes a housing having a mating end, a wire receiving end and a longitudinal axis therethrough. The housing holds a plurality of contacts grouped in pairs and arranged about the axis. At least one shielding member is located within the housing. The at least one shielding member isolates each contact pair from an adjacent contact pair. An organizer is configured for attachment to the wire receiving end of the housing. The organizer defines a central opening that receives a plurality of signal wires. The organizer includes a plurality of wire guides arranged about the central opening. Each wire guide receives one of the signal wires.

Electrical connector with enhanced jack interface

An electrical connector includes a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB), and a plurality of contacts. The housing includes a mating end and a wire receiving end. The PCB is mounted within the housing and has an opening formed therethrough. The plurality of contacts is configured to extend from the PCB. The opening is configured to receive a second electrical connector configured to mate with the electrical connector.

A patch panel system is provided that comprises a frame, a patch panel and connector ports. The patch panel is attached to the frame and has first and second connectivity interfaces. The first connectivity interface has multiple sections joined to form an N-sided portion of a polygon where N is greater than 2. The connector ports are provided at the first connectivity interface. The sections of the first connectivity interface have planar front surfaces that are oriented at obtuse angles to one another.

Patch panel system

A connector includes a housing having a mating end, a wire receiving end, and a longitudinal axis therethrough. The housing holds a plurality of contacts grouped in differential pairs and arranged about the axis. At least one shielding member is located within the housing. The shielding member isolates each differential contact pair from an adjacent differential contact pair. An organizer is configured for attachment to the wire receiving end of the housing. The organizer defines a central opening that receives a plurality of signal wires carrying differential signals. The organizer includes a plurality of wire guides arranged about and extending radially outward from the central opening. The wire guides receive the signal wires.

A cable management system includes an equipment system, and at least one patch panel having a connectivity interface. The connectivity interface is configured to connect with at least one cable extending from the equipment system. The cable management system also includes a manifold configured to be located between the equipment system and the patch panel. The manifold includes an inlet and an outlet, and the manifold is configured to direct the at least one cable from the equipment system to the connectivity interface.

Cable management system

An electrical jack includes a housing having a mating end configured to receive a mating plug. A plurality of signal contacts are arranged in differential pairs, and each of the signal contacts carries a signal from or to a plug contact in the mating plug. A plurality of compensation contacts are provided. Each compensation contact engages a respective plug contact in the mating plug independent of the signal contact, and the compensation contacts provide crosstalk compensation.

A cable management system is provided having a patch panel and a wire manager. The patch panel has a first connectivity interface configured to connect with electronics cables. The wire manager is located proximate the patch panel and has a body with a curved interior contour. The wire manager is oriented in a non-orthogonal relation to the patch panel such that the body of the wire manager extends rearward at a non-orthogonal angle from the first connectivity interface. Wire managers may be mounted on opposite sides of the patch panel and oriented such that the wire managers and patch panels form a C-shape.

Non-orthogonal cable management system

A telephone and cable television network interface device includes a first housing having first and second compartments, a terminal located in the first compartment for connection to telephone service, a terminal, located in the second compartment for connection to a telephone of a telephone service subscriber, a cover for restricting access to the first compartment and a cable television splitter. The splitter is located in the first housing and includes a second housing spanning the first and second compartments. A plurality of coaxial cable connectors, all facing the same direction, are located in the second housing. At least one connector is located in each of the compartments. The first housing includes a plurality of grooves aligned with the coaxial cable connectors. In one embodiment, the longitudinal axis of each of the coaxial cable connectors is located in the same plane. The device may also include a ground bus located in the first housing. The cable television splitter includes a mounting tab securing the splitter to the ground bus.

Combination telephone network interface device and cable TV splitter

A network sensing assembly is provided that includes an interface configured to receive a plurality of patch cords and a sensor element positioned proximate the interface. A plurality of contacts establish electrical connection to the sensor element when the patch cords are connected to the interface. At least one conductive element is attached to one of the patch cords and the sensor element. The conductive element is configured to couple more than one of the plurality of contacts when one of the patch cords is connected to the interface.

Network connection sensing assembly

A connector plug is provided including a plug body formed along a longitudinal axis and holding multiple contacts arranged in differential pairs. The channels extend along a vertical axis of the plug body and are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The channels are grouped in first differential pairs located on a common side of the longitudinal axis adjacent second differential pairs of channels being located on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis. The connector plug also includes a wire guide having a first end configured to join an end of the plug body. The wire guide has a second end configured to receive a cable containing twisted differential pairs of wires. The wire guide has guide slots that carry corresponding twisted differential pairs of wires. The second end has wire dress grooves extending from the guide slots to the channels. Each of the wire dress grooves receives a wire.

Plug and block connector system for differential contact pairs

A low profile fiber network interface device is disclosed including a housing enclosure having a front cover hinged to a rear fixed housing portion. An inner connection divider wall is also hingedly fixed to the enclosure which is rotatable between a position which the divider wall lies against the fixed housing portion, and to an open position where it lies adjacent to the open cover. The divider wall also includes a rotatable working tray which rotates to a substantial horizontal position, and the tray includes devices for retaining coiled fiber in position. The divider wall also includes an interface wall including a plurality of fiber optic connector headers whereby one side is accessible only from the back side of the divider wall, whereas the other header is accessible from the front of the divider wall. In this manner, when the divider wall is locked in the closed position, users cannot access the opposite side which is dedicated to the telecom service.

A shunt switch (60) is removably matable with posts (74) of the circuit board (30) in either of two orientations by simply being reversed in orientation, to interconnect circuits of the power output connector (20) with either the first power-receiving connector (20) or the second power-receiving connector (42). The module (10) is useful in an NIU and provides for an alternate source of power to the electronics elsewhere in the NIU as well as for voltage test probing of the power circuits (46,48) and testing of the electronics at test port connector (40), while the module also includes connectors (14) for connection of telephony distribution cable to subscriber premise wiring and test ports (16) for testing thereof.

The present invention is related to a network interface device 10 and a network interface module 50 for mounting therein. The network interface device 10 features two covers 12, 32. The first cover 32 restricts access to the service provider section of the device, and the second cover 12 covers both the service provider section 24 and the subscriber section 22. The network interface module 50 is profiled to span between the subscriber section 22 and the service provider section 24 so as to eliminate the need for separate components in each section.
