A cushion-less passenger seat. The passenger seat includes spaced left and right spreaders, each having a front and rear leg with top and bottom ends and a seating surface fanned from a flexible bottom diaphragm attached to and extending between the left and right spreaders. The passenger seat also includes a lumbar support having lower and upper sections and front and back sides formed from a flexible diaphragm. The lower section of the lumbar support is attached to and between the left and right spreaders. The lumbar support upper section extends upwardly above the seat's rear legs and seating surface.

Cushion-less aircraft seat

A cushion-less passenger seat. The passenger seat includes spaced left and right spreaders, each having a front and rear leg with top and bottom ends and a seating surface formed from a flexible bottom diaphragm attached to and extending between the left and right spreaders. The passenger seat also includes a lumbar support having lower and upper sections and front and back sides formed from a flexible diaphragm. The lower section of the lumbar support is attached to and between the left and right spreaders. The lumbar support upper section extends upwardly above the seat's rear legs and seating surface.

An improved seating apparatus for an aircraft includes a seat assembly and a quick install track fitting assembly for securing the seat assembly to the aircraft. In a preferred embodiment, the quick install track fitting assembly is made up of a track fitting body for insertion into an aircraft seat track and a manual lever that is pivotably attached to the track fitting body. The manual lever has a lever release position and a lever lock position. A force bearing plunger is movably attached to the manual lever for transferring force to the aircraft seat track. The force bearing plunger has a track release position and a track lock position, wherein both positions correspond to the lever release and lever lock positions of the manual lever. A lock may also be provided for maintaining the plunger in the track lock position when the manual lever is in the lever lock position. The quick install aircraft track fitting may further include a spring loaded secondary plunger to help locate and provide a secondary lock for securing the seat assembly into a proper position within the aircraft seat track. Moreover, the quick install track fitting may further include an anti-rattle feature that urges the force bearing plunger against the top of the seat track.

Quick install aircraft track fitting device

An improved seating apparatus for an aircraft comprising: a seat assembly; and a wedge lock device for securing the seat assembly to the aircraft without any rattle. In the preferred embodiment, the wedge lock device includes: a selectively adjustable force applicator for applying force to a force bearer; a force bearer for transferring force to an aircraft seat track; and a stud connected to the seat assembly. Also in the preferred embodiment, the seat assembly includes a seat leg.

Seat track anti-rattle locking device

An aircraft passenger convenience apparatus comprising: a seat assembly; a support device attached to the seat assembly; and a platform having a top and bottom, the platform at least partially supported by the support device. In the preferred embodiment, the support device is selectable between at least a tray support and an armrest position. Also in the preferred embodiment, the seat assembly includes a seat back.

Convertible aircraft passenger seat

An improved seating apparatus for an aircraft comprising: a seat assembly and a positive lock device for securing the seat assembly to the aircraft. In the preferred embodiment, the positive lock device comprises: an adjustable force applicator for selectively applying force, a track fitting for insertion into an aircraft seat track, a rigid force bearer having a top region and for transferring force to an aircraft seat track, and a lock plate biased toward the applicator head. Also, in the preferred embodiment, the seat assembly includes a seat leg.

Positive lock seat device

A seating apparatus for an aircraft comprising: a passenger seat having a seat frame and a seat back; a recline control device for selectively reclining the seat back; and a seat recline control override for disabling the recline control device. In the preferred embodiment, the passenger seat includes a seat leg supporting the seat. Also in the preferred embodiment, the seat recline control override comprises: an override lever for overriding the recline control; an actuator for remotely moving the override lever; and a linkage connecting the override lever to the actuator.
