A voltage regulator circuit includes a first voltage regulator having a first output voltage selection pin set and producing a first output voltage based on a first digital signal received at the first output voltage selection pin set, and a second voltage regulator having a second output voltage selection pin set and producing a second output voltage based on a second digital signal received at the second output voltage selection pin set. The first and second voltage regulators are operable in a voltage tracking mode with the output voltage of the second voltage regulator tracking the output voltage of the first voltage regulator when digital signals received at the selection pin sets have a same value. An overvoltage sensor detects overvoltage events at the first voltage regulator. Control circuitry selectively avoids operation in voltage tracking mode as a result of an overvoltage event detected at the first voltage regulator.

Dual LDO voltage regulator device with independent output voltage selection

A circuit includes processing circuitry is sensitive to a regulated voltage at the output node and to a temperature of the circuit. The processing circuit is configured to provide voltage and temperature sensing signals indicative of the regulated voltage at the output node and the temperature of the circuit. The processing circuitry is configured to assume i) a first state, as a result of the voltage sensing signal reaching a voltage threshold, ii) a second state, as a result of the temperature detection signal reaching a temperature threshold, or iii) a third state, as a result of both the voltage and the temperature sensing signals failing to reach the thresholds. The circuit comprises a warning output coupled to a warning signal generation network controlled by the processing circuitry.

A microfluidic system through which a solution of at least an oxidable compound is fed to a feed manifold of an energy converting electrochemical device includes a flow connector. The flow connector includes a silicon platform having a bottom side and an opposing top side, and through holes extending therethough. The silicon platform includes first and second channels defined on the bottom side for communicating with the through holes. The second channel forms an inlet for the feed manifold of the energy converting electrochemical device when the bottom side of the silicon platform is coupled to a flat coupling area of the device. A micropump module is coupled to the top side of the silicon platform for communicating with the through holes in the first and second channels. First and second supply cartridges are coupled to the top side of the silicon platform for communicating with the through holes in the first channel.

A device for producing energy for portable applications including at least one micro fuel cell and a microreactor, having a reaction chamber including a catalyst, for producing hydrogen gas to be fed to the micro fuel cell. The microreactor includes at least one substrate of a composite material for making printed circuits micromachined with printed circuit technology suitable for making the reaction chamber and having a semipermeable membrane on top of it. The substrate and the membrane are connected to the micro fuel cell to make a single body through a single pressure assembly step.

A driving circuit of an OLED diode is inserted between a first and a second voltage reference and having at least one input terminal receiving an input voltage signal and an output terminal for the generation of a driving current of the OLED diode, the driving circuit having at least one driver transistor having a first conduction terminal connected to the first voltage reference, a second conduction terminal connected to the output terminal and a control terminal connected to at least one first capacitor and one second capacitor. A managing method of the start-up phase of at least one micro fuel cell to be connected to a load includes: measuring a micro fuel cell voltage value across the micro fuel cell activated by means of a fuel injection; comparing the micro fuel cell voltage value with a first threshold voltage value; and establishing an operation mode of the micro fuel cell as follows: as long as the micro fuel cell voltage value is lower than the first threshold voltage value, the micro fuel cell operates in a first open circuit state, during which it is not connected to the load; when the micro fuel cell voltage value overcomes the first threshold voltage value, the micro fuel cell passes to a second pre-ignition state, during which it supplies a current value corresponding to the first threshold voltage value, according to a static voltage-current characteristic of the micro fuel cell.

Method and circuit for managing start-up phase of at least a micro fuel cell to be connected to a load

A circuit implementing a non-integer order dynamic system includes a neural network that receives at least one input signal and generates therefrom at least one output signal. The input and output signals are related to each by a non-integer order integro-differential relationship through the coefficients of the neural network. A plurality of such circuits, implementing respective non-integer order controllers can be interconnected in an arrangement wherein any of the integral or differential blocks included in one of these circuits generates a signal which is fed to any of the integral or differential blocks of another circuit in the system.
