The invention relates to a computer-controlled lighting system which comprises an interface for defining a work surface within the lighting system and a desired illumination of the work surface, at least one luminaire for illuminating the work surface and a processing unit for automatically computing configuration parameters which allow configuring the at least one luminaire such that the desired illumination of the work surface is achievable.

Computer-controlled lighting system

The invention relates to the integration of an energy function into a light management system, particularly for saving energy and monitoring energy consumption. According to an embodiment of the invention, a light management system () with an integrated energy function is provided, wherein the system is adapted to receiving energy information about light fixtures (-) of a lighting system (), and to processing the received energy information with regard to energy consumption of the lighting system (). The energy function may be for example used to automatically configure a lighting system to low energy consumption, to allow further configurations of the lighting system with regard to lowering energy consumption, or to provide a user with a sensible set of lights that can be turned off and will amount to significant energy savings when turned off.

Light management system with an integrated energy function

Systems and methods for automatically facilitating rendition of a lighting atmosphere by a lighting control system are disclosed. The lighting control system comprises a decomposition unit for decomposing the lighting atmosphere into elementary light effects by analyzing a data file, a classification unit for classifying the elementary light effects into a set of light effects, and a coordination unit for coordinating implementation of the sets of light effects by determining and refining configuration settings of the lighting system.

Automatic rendering of a lighting scene with a lighting system, particularly the control of the rendering. Rendering of the lighting scene by decomposing a lighting atmosphere to be rendered in elementary light effects, to classify the elementary light effects, and to coordinate the realization of the classified light effects with the lighting system. A light control system for automatically rendering the lighting atmosphere with the lighting system, wherein the light control system is adapted for decomposing the lighting atmosphere to be rendered in elementary light effects, classifying the elementary light effects into sets of light effects, and coordinating the realization of the sets of light effects with the lighting system. An automatic light control system to autonomously determining the lighting configuration settings needed by light modules of the lighting system to realize a desired lighting atmosphere while its elementary lighting effects are harmonically rendered.

The invention relates to the automatic rendering of a lighting scene with a lighting system, particularly the control of the rendering. A basic idea of the invention is to improve rendering of a lighting scene by automatically compensating interference, such as an alien light source or a dynamic perturbing event of a rendered lighting scene. An embodiment of the invention provides a light control system () for automatically rendering a lighting scene with a lighting system, wherein the light control () system is adapted for monitoring the rendered lighting scene for the occurrence of interference () and automatically reconfiguring the lighting system such that a monitored occurrence of an interference is compensated (). As result, the invention allows to prevent dynamic disturbances or unforeseen events, for example caused by faulty or alien light sources, from distorting the rendering of an intended lighting scene.

Light control system and method for automatically rendering a lighting scene

The invention relates to a method of controlling a lighting system with multiple controllable light sourcesand a system therefor. According to a first aspect, influence data of the lighting system are obtained, which data represent the effect of one or more of the light sourceson the illumination of one or more sections of an illuminated environment. In an optimization method, sets of control commands are continuously determined, a predicted light distribution for these control commands is determined from the influence data, and a colorimetric difference between the predicted light distribution and a target light distribution is determined. A plurality of adjustment steps are performed to minimize the colorimetric difference. According to a second aspect, a neural network is trained with the influence data and a set of control commands for controlling the lighting system is determined with the use of the neural network.
