An information handling system EMI shield system couples to a circuit board to enclose an electronic device in a Faraday cage and includes a surface painted with a graphene paint to aid in dissipation of excess thermal energy from the electronic device. The EMI shield system has a frame that couples to the circuit board and interfaces with ground to define a boundary around an electronic device connector and has a shield that couples as a separate piece over the frame to enclose the electronic device. Graphene paint applied to some or all of the shield encourages rejection of excess thermal energy from within shield.

An information handling system supports multi-radio and multi-antenna wireless communication by routing coaxial cables between the radios and antennas through a cable clip of a conductive material coupled to system ground and interfaced with the coaxial cable ground sheath through an opening formed in the coaxial cable outer casing. A current source of the radio frequency applies a current in phase with the radio signal to the coaxial cable outer casing to suppress crosstalk with coaxial cables of different frequencies.

A cabling-based airflow routing system includes a chassis that defines a chassis housing. A first heat producing component is located in the chassis housing. A first cabling connector is located in the chassis housing. A second cabling connector that is located in the chassis housing. A first ribbon cable that extends through the chassis housing between the first cabling connector and the second cabling connector. The first ribbon cable includes a first cabling airflow routing portion that is oriented in the chassis housing in an airflow path and that is configured to redirect a first portion of an airflow provided in the airflow path towards the first heat producing component.

Thermal management within an information handling system housing is provided by applying graphene paint to a support structure disposed within the housing, such as a battery casing that supports battery cells, a keyboard lattice that supports keyboard coupling to the housing and screws that attach components to the housing. The graphene paint may have different concentrations of graphene and/or different thicknesses so that the thermal characteristics of the support structure adapt to thermal generation within the housing, such as to keep an even distribution of temperatures within the housing.

A floating device location identification system includes a chassis defining floating device housings and including respective chassis location identification features adjacent each floating device housing that identify the relative location of that floating device housing. A floating device may be positioned in a first floating device housing and adjacent a first chassis location identification feature. The first floating device includes floating device cabling connector(s) that are connected via a cabling subsystem to a device location identification subsystem, and chassis engagement elements that are coupled to the floating device cabling connector(s) and that engage the first chassis location identification feature. The floating device transmits floating device location identifying information to the device location identification subsystem that is based on the engagement of the chassis engagement elements and the first chassis location identification feature, and that identifies a relative location of the first floating device housing in the chassis.

A floating multi-connector blind mating system includes a multi-connector chassis coupled to a pair of first connectors that extend from the multi-connector chassis. A connector float subsystem in the multi-connector chassis is coupled to the pair of first connectors and allows each of the first connectors to move within a plane. A connector securing element on the multi-connector chassis is coupled to the pair of first connectors and resists movement of each of the pair of first connectors perpendicular to the plane. A respective blind-mate element is connected to each of a pair of second connectors, and the pair of first connectors are guided by the respective blind mate elements into engagement with the pair of second connectors when the multi-connector chassis is moved towards the pair of second connectors.

Systems and methods are disclosed for securing an information handling system. A method for securing an information handling system may include securing the information handling system in an enclosure with a locking mechanism of a bezel; receiving a request to unlock the bezel at a baseboard management controller (BMC), the BMC communicatively coupled to the bezel; retrieving a first artifact stored in a trusted platform module (TPM) in response to the request; attempting to authorize the request using the first artifact; and unlocking the locking mechanism if the request is authorized.

A board assembly includes a first board. The first board includes a first board connector that is configured to connect to a first baseboard connector receptacle included on a baseboard and a first board component coupled to the first board connector through the first board. The board assembly also includes a second board that is movably coupled to the first board by at least one floating coupling that allows the second board to move relative to the first board. The second board includes a second board connector that is configured to connect to a second baseboard connector receptacle included on the baseboard and a second board component coupled to the second board connector through the second board.

In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a bezel configured to mechanically couple to a housing for housing components of an information handling system may include one or more mechanical features for mechanically coupling the bezel to the housing, an information handling resource mechanically coupled to a mechanical structure of the bezel, and a bezel connector having a plurality of pins communicatively coupled to the information handling resource. The bezel connector may be configured to communicatively couple the information handling resource to a second information handling resource of the information handling system housed within the housing when the bezel is mechanically coupled to the housing.

A sliding latch release mechanism for a latched cable connector. The sliding latch release mechanism includes a fixed portion which is configured to fit securely around a latched cable connector, the latched cable connector having a latch release mechanism. The sliding latch release further includes a slideable portion which is housed within the fixed portion and is configured to move within a slot on the fixed portion. When slid back and forth, the slideable portion of the latch release mechanism engages the latch of the latched cable connector and releases the latch so the latched cable may be unplugged.

A stacked connector alignment system includes a board with processor and a board connector coupled to the processor. An alignment element is mounted to the board adjacent the board connector. The alignment element includes first alignment members and second alignment members that are spaced apart from the first alignment members. A first component includes a primary first component connector and a secondary first component connector that is located on an opposite surface of the first component from the primary first component connector, and the first alignment members are configured to engage the first component to align the primary first component connector with the board connector. A second component includes a second component connector, and the second alignment members are configured to engage the second component to align the second component connector with the secondary first component connector when the primary first component connector is connected to the board connector.

An information handling system motherboard overlaps a component with a mezzanine card to provide additional room for components to couple to the motherboard. A mezzanine card bracket holds the mezzanine card in a parallel configuration over the motherboard. The mezzanine card bracket includes a rotating portion that supports the mezzanine card in a closed position and rotates to an open position to allow access to components disposed on the motherboard beneath the rotating portion, such as a memory module that is partially covered by the mezzanine card when the mezzanine card is installed on the mezzanine card bracket support surface.
