The present invention relates to a process for reshaping keratin fibers, preferably hair, comprising the steps of: (i) applying onto the keratin fibers a composition comprising (a) at least one organic acid salt of alkaline earth metal, wherein the composition has a pH of from 8.0 to 13.5, preferably from 8.0 to 12.0, and more preferably from 8.5 to 11.0; (ii) heating the keratin fibers; and (iii) optionally rinsing and/or drying the keratin fibers. The present invention can reshape or deform keratin fibers, preferably hair, and can provide the keratin fibers with long-lasting volumizing effects, and possibly sufficient reshaping efficiency such as strong wave intensity and many curls. Also, the present invention can provide good usability such as short processing time due to the absence of the steps of reducing and oxidizing keratin fibers.

Process for reshaping keratin fibers

The present invention relates to a process for reshaping keratin fibers, preferably hair, comprising the steps of: (i) applying onto the keratin fibers a composition comprising (a) at least one diol selected from Cdiols, wherein the composition has a pH of from 8.0 to 13.5, preferably from 8.5 to 12.0, and more preferably from 9.0 to 11.0; (ii) heating the keratin fibers; and (iii) optionally rinsing and/or drying the keratin fibers. The present invention can reshape keratin fibers without reducing and oxidizing the keratin fibers, and can provide superior reshaping efficiency, such as strong wave intensity and many curls.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of an O/W emulsion, and comprises: (a) at least one fatty alcohol; (b) at least one oil; (c) at least one nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 15 or more; (d) at least one nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 5 or less; (e) at least one diol having a straight chain of four or more consecutive carbon atoms; (f) at least one alkaline agent selected from the group consisting of ammonia, ammonium hydroxide, ammonium salts, and mixtures thereof; and (g) water. The composition according to the present invention is easy to handle and can provide keratin fibers such as hair with superior cosmetic effects such as good coloring or bleaching effects as well as a good feeling to the touch of the keratin fibers, while controlling malodor due to an ammonia ingredient in the composition.

Composition in the form of O/W emulsion

A hyaluronic acid compound which is a reaction product between hyaluronic acid and a phosphatidyl ethanolamine. This compound has biocompatibility and bio-safety, and can be formed into a hydrogel or molded form having a certain shape. Making use of these properties, it is used to treat a knee joint, prevent the accretion of a tissue after an operation and keep a skin wet.
