According to one embodiment, a distance measurement apparatus includes a light emitter that intermittently emits a light beam, and a meter that measures a distance to an object from a length of time from an emission of the light beam from the light emitter to a return of reflected light by the object. The light emitter emits the light beam in a certain cycle with delay corresponding to randomly set offset time. The meter generates an integrated detection signal by shifting a plurality of detection signals of the light beam emitted in the certain cycle by the respective offset times and time-divisionally integrating the detection signals, and determines based on the integrated detection signal whether or not the light indicated by the detection signals is reflected light by the object, emitted from the light emitter.

Distance measurement apparatus

A distance measuring device according to an embodiment includes a light source, an irradiation optical system, a light-receiving optical system, a sensor, an extractor, an adjuster, a signal generator, and a distance measurer. The light source intermittently emits laser light. The irradiation optical system reflects the laser light. The light-receiving optical system receives reflected light of the laser light via the mirror. The sensor includes a plurality of light receiving elements. The extractor extracts light receiving elements used for measurement of a distance to the measurement target object. The adjuster adjusts, according to an amplification factor corresponding to the light receiving elements extracted by the extractor, signal values of the electric signals of the light receiving elements. The signal generator generates time-series signals for measurement on the basis of the electric signals adjusted by the adjuster. The distance measurer measures the distance to the measurement target object.

Distance measuring device

A distance measuring device according to an embodiment includes a weight value generator, a cumulative signal generator, and a distance measurer. The weight value generator generates, on the basis of similarity between a first digital signal obtained by digitizing reflected light of laser light irradiated in a first irradiation direction and a second digital signal obtained by digitizing reflected light of laser light irradiated in a second irradiation direction different from the first irradiation direction, a weight value of the second digital signal. The cumulative signal generator accumulates, on the first digital signal, a signal obtained by weighting the second digital signal with the weight value and generates a third digital signal. The distance measurer measures a distance to a target object on the basis of a time difference between irradiation timing of the laser light and timing of a peak position in the third digital signal.
