A mounting device (30) comprises an integral stamping of sheet metal having a head portion (40) and legs (50) extending downwardly therefrom; the head portion including a latch (48) extending angularly to the plane of the sheet metal and barbs (43, 44) extending in the plane to lock within a slot (74) of a component (70), the legs (50) each including a first portion (52, 54) tapered outwardly and a second portion (52a, 54a) tapered inwardly to provide a spring action transverse to the plane of the device and to the plane of a hole in a board in which the device is mounted. The leg portions (52a, 54a) operate to ease insertion in the hole in a board, and the ends of the said legs are free for cantilever action.

Mounting device for components

A turning insertion type electrical connector system is disclosed. The system includes a receptacle side connector (20) which mates to a plug side connector (40) by a turning motion. The receptacle side connector (20) includes recesses (23) which are arc-shaped in cross section and which receive arc-shaped protrusions (43) when the connectors (20,40) are mated. Further a projection (24) on one connector (20) has multiple protrusions (24') which lock into holes (44') on a projection part (44) on the second connector (40).

Turning insertion type electrical connector system

An electrical connector system (10) comprising a pair of matable drawer connectors (10a,10b) is disclosed. The connectors (10a,10b) are preferably identical and include contact (31) having first contact sections (32) at one end which mate with other first contact sections (32) and second contact sections (33) at another end which mate second contacts (110) carried by wiring harness connectors (100).

Electrical connector system

A shielded electrical connector comprises a housing having contact sections of electrical contact members disposed in passages of the housing and exposed terminal sections extending outwardly and downwardly from a rear surface of the housing for electrical connection with signal paths of a printed circuit board. A shield plate extends along a row of terminal sections and has ground terminals electrically connected to ground tabs of contact members and ground terminals for electrical connection with ground paths of the printed circuit board.

Shielded electrical connector

An assist spring is provided for a female terminal having contact arms in a high conductivity electrical connector. The assist spring may be formed of high resilient material and have dual support to assist the lower resilience, more conductive material of the contact arms and provide greater contact force on a male terminal inserted into the female terminal.
