Techniques for teleconferencing with enhanced audio during low-quality connection conditions are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, a user of a compute device is teleconferencing with users of one or more remote compute devices. The compute device monitors a connection quality with a remote compute device. If the connection quality drops below a threshold, risking gaps in the audio data, the compute device generates speech code data that can be used to fill in the gaps in the audio data. The remote compute device can use the speech code data to augment the audio data by using a voice model to create additional audio data based on the speech code data.

Technologies for enhancing audio quality during low-quality connection conditions

This disclosure presents methods and devices that implement dynamic transmit power control techniques in terminal devices with multiple radio frequency (RF) transmitters and/or in a multi-terminal device environment to comply with regulatory RF exposure limits and standards while enhancing device performance. For example, the present disclosure provides a device including a processor configured to monitor a transmit power for each of a plurality of transmitters; determine a transmit power reduction to be applied to the plurality of transmitters based on a total simultaneous transmit power of the plurality of transmitters exceeding a threshold; define a respective amount of the transmit power reduction to be applied to each transmitter of the plurality of transmitters based on one or more parameters; and apply the respective amount of the transmit power reduction to each transmitter of the plurality of transmitters.

The receiver has a mixer arranged to mix a received signal to an analog baseband signal at or close to zero-frequency, a filter arranged to low-pass filter said analog baseband signal, and an analog-to-digital converter arranged to sample said filtered analog baseband signal at a sample frequency such that a digital baseband signal is formed. The method comprised receiving a radio frequency signal, mixing the radio frequency signal to the analog baseband signal at or close to zero-frequency, low-pass filtering said analog baseband signal, and analog-to-digital converting said filtered analog baseband signal at an over sample frequency such that a digital baseband signal is formed. The method further comprises frequency translating the digital baseband signal around a Nyquist frequency being based on a nominal sample frequency, the nominal sample frequency being a fraction of the oversampling frequency according to the oversampling rate, to form a translated digital baseband signal such that signal content of the digital baseband signal around zero frequency will be translated to around the nominal sample frequency and vice versa in the translated digital baseband signal, determining a first signal level at zero frequency of the digital baseband signal and a second signal level at zero frequency of the translated digital baseband signal, detecting an obtruding signal based on a relation between the first and second signal levels, and outputting an obtruding signal state signal.

A method is disclosed of a wireless communication device adapted to communicate using a radio access transceiver alternatingly in accordance with a first radio access technology and in accordance with a second radio access technology. The method comprises allocating a number of time periods during communication in accordance with the first radio access technology to reception of a paging signal of the second radio access technology, wherein the number is dynamically variable based on a result of a (block) decoding of at least one previous paging signal of the second radio access technology. The number may be set based on at least one respective previous number of time periods required for successful (block) decoding of the at least one previous paging signal. Furthermore, the number may be set to a maximum value if an immediately previous paging signal was not successfully decoded.

Selective deciphering of a received signal, as taught herein, provides a number of advantages, including greater efficiency through the elimination or at least reduction of wasted decoding cycles. There is provided a method for determining frequency correction and time slot boundary detection for synchronization in a wireless device. A plurality of cell broadcast frequencies is acquired. A subgroup of cell broadcast frequencies is determined from the received plurality of cell broadcast frequencies. Frequency and time slot information in the subgroup is recovered by tuning a local oscillator to a center frequency of the subgroup. Individual frequencies are extracted from the recovered frequency information. The individual frequencies are provided to a frequency correction detector.
