In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for predicting hardware failure events are presented. A time series comprising event log data for a plurality of events and a plurality of event types that occurred on a server computing device may be received. The time series may be filtered for a subset of the plurality of event types. The filtered time series may be processed with a recurrent neural network that has been trained to predict hardware failure events from time series data comprising the subset of the plurality of event types. A prediction may be made that a hardware failure event will occur on the server computing device within a threshold duration of time. A prophylactic follow-up action corresponding to the predicted hardware failure event may be performed.

Identifying patterns in event logs to predict and prevent cloud service outages

A wrist-worn device heart-monitoring device is presented. The wrist-worn heart-monitoring device includes a radial tonometer configured to output a pressure signal indicating a pulse pressure wave at a user's wrist, two or more electrodes configured to output an electrical signal indicating a user's heart has been commanded to contract, and a microphone configured to output an audio signal indicating a closing of a user's aortic valve. The wrist-worn heart-monitoring device further includes a pulse transit time monitor configured to calculate a pre-ejection period of the user's heart based on at least the pressure, electrical, and audio signals, and calculate a pulse transit time based on at least the pre-ejection period, the pressure signal, and the electrical signal.

An improved method and system for varying an amount of mechanical coupling in a speakerphone is disclosed. Solutions and implementations provided vary the amount of mechanical coupling between one or more speakers and one or more microphones of the speakerphone to generate high-quality sounds. Implementations include receiving a signal for a first speaker, transforming the signal to send to a second speaker or actuator to generate either complementary or opposing vibration forces to those generated by the first speaker, and an accelerometer to measure the amount of vibration caused by the speaker and adjust the transformation applied to the signal to increase or decrease the amount of mechanical coupling, as needed.

Method and system of varying mechanical vibrations at a microphone

An improved method and system for varying an amount of mechanical coupling in a speakerphone is disclosed. Solutions and implementations provided vary the amount of mechanical coupling between one or more speakers and one or more microphones of the speakerphone to generate high-quality sounds. Implementations include receiving an input signal, sending a copy of the input signal to a first speaker, performing a signal transformation on the input signal to produce a transformed input signal, and transmitting the transformed input signal to a second speaker, where the first speaker generates a first vibration force in response to the input signal, and the second speaker generates a second vibration force in response to the transformed input signal, the second vibration force being in an opposite direction to that of the first vibration force and offsetting at least part of the first vibration force.

The wrist-worn pressure sensing device also includes a first strap that sets the position of the pressure sensor on a wearer's wrist and a second strap that engages with the first strap to adjust the overall length of the strap without moving the set position of the pressure sensor on the wearer's wrist.
