The present disclosure provides an optical imaging system and a camera device equipped with the optical imaging system. The optical imaging system includes sequentially, from an object side to an image side along an optical axis, a first lens having a positive refractive power, wherein an image-side surface of the first lens gradually changes from a paraxial concave surface to an edge convex surface as the image-side surface moves away from the optical axis; a second lens having a positive refractive power, wherein an object-side surface of the second lens is a convex surface, and an image-side surface of the second lens is a convex surface; a third lens having a negative refractive power; a fourth lens having a positive refractive power or a negative refractive power; and a fifth lens having a positive refractive power or a negative refractive power, wherein an object-side surface of the fifth lens is a convex surface at a paraxial position, and an image-side surface of the fifth lens is a concave surface at a paraxial position.
