The invention relates to a process for transitioning from a first continuous polymerization in a gas phase reactor conducted in the presence of a metallocene catalyst to a second polymerization conducted in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst in the gas phase reactor wherein the metallocene catalyst and the Ziegler-Natta catalysts are incompatible, the process comprising: (a) discontinuing the introduction of the metallocene catalyst into the gas phase reactor; (b) introducing an effective amount of cyclohexylamine into the reactor to at least partially deactivate the metallocene catalyst; (c) introducing an organometallic compound into the reactor and reacting the organometallic compound with cyclohexylamine; (d) degas the gas composition of the reactor and build up a new composition inside the reactor for the second polymerization with the Ziegler-Natta catalyst (e) introducing the Ziegler-Natta catalyst into the reactor.

Process for transitioning between incompatible catalysts

The invention relates to a composition comprising (a) polypropylene having a melt mass flow rate as measured in accordance with ISO 1133 using a 2.16 kg weight and at a temperature of 230&#xb0; C. in the range from 10 to 40 g/10 min and (b) a polymer preferably chosen from the group consisting of polyoxymethylene, polyamide and mixture thereof, wherein the amount of component (b) is from 0.005 to 5 wt % based on the total weight of the components (a) and (b) and wherein the polypropylene has a melt temperature TmPP and a crystallization temperature TcPP, the polymer has a melt temperature TmP and a crystallization temperature TcP, wherein the TcP is 5-40&#xb0; C. higher than TcPP, wherein the Tand Tare determined using Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to ASTM D 3418-08 using a scan rate of 10&#xb0; C./min on a sample of 10 mg and using the second heating cycle.

Polypropylene compositions

The invention relates to linear low density polyethylene having a density in the range from about 900 kg/mto less than about 940 kg/mas determined using IS01872-2, having a molecular weight distribution (M/M) in the range from 2.5 to 3.5, having an area under the peak in the temperature range from 20 to 40&#xb0; C. determined using an analytical temperature rising elution fractionation analysis using 1,2-dichlorobenzene and a heating rate of 1&#xb0; C./min, wherein the area is in the range from 5 to 20% of the sum of the areas under all peaks determined with the analytical temperature rising elution fractionation analysis.

Catalyst composition and method for preparing the same

The present invention relates to a catalyst composition for the polymerisation of olefins comprising a support containing a single site catalyst component, a catalyst activator and a modifier wherein the modifier is the product of reacting an aluminum compound of general formula AI(R1, R2, R3) with an amine compound of general formula N(R4, R5, R6). The catalyst composition reduces fouling and/or sheeting when used to catalyse the polymerisation of olefins. The present invention also relates to a method for the polymerisation of olefins using the catalyst composition of the invention.

A composition can comprise: linear low density polyethylene having a melt mass flow rate as determined using ASTM D-1238 (190&#xb0; C./2.16 kg) in the range from 4 to 125 g/10 min or high density polyethylene having a melt mass flow rate as determined using ASTM D-1238 (190&#xb0; C./2.16 kg) in the range from 4 to 125 g/10 min and polypropylene, wherein the amount of polypropylene is from 0.005 to 10 wt % based on the total weight of the linear low density polyethylene or the high density polyethylene and the polypropylene, wherein the polypropylene has a melt temperature (T) from 140&#xb0; C. to 200&#xb0; C. and/or a crystallization temperature (T) from 100&#xb0; C. to 140&#xb0; C., wherein the Tand Tare determined using Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to ASTM D 3418-08 using a scan rate of 10&#xb0; C./min on a sample of 10 mg and using the second heating cycle. The invention also relates to the use of the composition in injection molding.
