System and methods include obtaining data, over the Internet, associated with a plurality of Wi-Fi networks each Wi-Fi network having one or more access points and each Wi-Fi network being associated with a customer of one or more service providers; aggregating and filtering the data; analyzing the aggregated and filtered data for a condition of each of the plurality of Wi-Fi networks; determining one or more resolutions for the condition of a Wi-Fi network of the plurality of Wi-Fi networks; and initiating a customer outreach workflow to provide the one or more resolutions to the customer associated with the Wi-Fi network.

Techniques are discussed herein for providing notification messages to a user are provided. An example method of sending an alert message includes receiving a notification from an alerting device, determining a notification recipient associated with the alerting device, determining a location and one or more notification preferences associated with the notification recipient, determining a notification device based on the location and the one or more notification preferences, and sending the alert message to the notification device, wherein the alert message includes an indication of at least one notification preference and the alerting device.

A method for identifying a client device in a network, and a first radio in the network that is coupled with the client device is provided. The method includes determining one or more sequences of roaming events for multiple client devices in the network, evaluating a performance metric for a roaming event and evaluating an interaction between the client device and one or more radios involved in the roaming events for the plurality of client devices. The method also includes selecting a second radio in the network based at least in part on (1) the one or more sequences of roaming events, (2) the performance metric, and (3) the interaction between the client device and the one or more radios, and recommending switching the client device from the first radio to the second radio. A system and a predictive tool to perform the above method are also provided.

An embodiment of one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums includes instructions for transmitting a request from a computing device to multiple access points in a network to determine a distance between each pair of access points of the multiple access points; receiving at the computing device the determined distances between each pair of access points; generating a proximity matrix containing the determined distances between each pair of access points; solving the proximity matrix to automatically generate a set of locations for the multiple access points; and orienting the generated set of locations for the multiple access points based on known locations of one or more anchor points in a subset of the access points.

A system includes: an interface; and a processor configured to: receive one or more search criteria from the interface, the one or more search criteria being a first portion of a search query; determine a second portion of the search query based on the first portion of the search query and an association of the first portion of the search query with an entity, the search query being a request for a location of a target device associated with the entity; cause a transceiver of the interface to transmit the search query wirelessly in one or more outbound electronic signals to a first intermediate device; receive one or more inbound electronic signals from the first intermediate device via the interface, the one or more inbound electronic signals including a location of the target device; and cause the interface to provide an indication of the location of the target device.

A method of registering a target device includes: receiving a first indication to initiate a registration; and determining a suggested registration location and/or or a suggested registration name. The method further includes: providing a second indication of at least one of the suggested registration location or the suggested registration name; providing a third indication requesting at least one of whether the suggested registration location is accepted or whether the suggested registration name is accepted; receiving a fourth indication indicating at least one of whether the suggested registration location is accepted or whether the suggested registration name is accepted; and registering the target device by storing target device information based on the fourth indication.

In one aspect, a method includes performing, by a wireless station, a fine timing measurement (FTM) procedure with each of one or more FTM-enabled access points (APs) to obtain a respective one or more FTM-based round-trip time (RTT) measurement between the wireless station and each of the one or more FTM-enabled APs. The method also includes performing a non-FTM procedure with each of one or more non-FTM-enabled APs to obtain a respective one or more non-FTM-based RTT measurement. The wireless station then calculates a position of the wireless device based on both the one or more FTM-based RTT measurements and the one or more non-FTM-based RTT measurements.
