An aluminum alloy brazing sheet having high corrosion resistance is provided, which develops the sacrificial anticorrosion effect in both surfaces of the sheet, which has the brazing function in one of both the surfaces, and which prevents the occurrence of preferential corrosion. A channel forming component for a vehicular heat exchanger is also provided by utilizing the aluminum alloy brazing sheet. An aluminum alloy brazing sheet having high corrosion resistance includes an aluminum alloy core, a filler material clad on one surface of the core, and a sacrificial anode material clad on the other surface of the core, wherein the filler material, the sacrificial anode material, and the core have respective predetermined alloy compositions. A channel forming component for a vehicular heat exchanger is manufactured using the aluminum alloy brazing sheet having high corrosion resistance.

An intake system for an engine includes an intake manifold having a surge tank room and branch passages, and a water-cooling type cooler having a first cooling unit and second cooling units. The surge tank room is disposed on a downstream side of a supercharger in a flow direction of intake air. Supercharged intake air flowing into the surge tank room is distributed among intake ports respectively through the branch passages. The first cooling unit is inserted in the surge tank room, and cools supercharged intake air which has flowed into the intake manifold through heat exchange between supercharged intake air and coolant flowing in the first cooling unit. The second cooling units are inserted respectively in the intake ports, and cool internal EGR gas, which has been recirculated into their corresponding intake ports, through heat exchange between internal EGR gas and coolant flowing in the second cooling units.

A pipe joint structure includes a plurality of fluid flow path portions, a socket connected to the fluid flow path portions, a connection plate disposed to abut against the socket, a plurality of pipes connected to each other by the connection plate, and a seal member disposed between the plurality of pipes and the socket. The socket includes a connection portion that is located to cover an edge of the connection plate and to fix the plurality of pipes to the plurality of fluid flow path portions. The pipe joint structure can be suitably used for a heat exchanger.

In a vehicle air conditioning system, a cold accumulator is disposed between a downstream air side of a cooling heat exchanger and an upstream air side of a heating heat exchanger to be cooled by cold air having passed through the cooling heat exchanger. Further, the cold accumulator is disposed at the upstream air side of an air mixing door.

An evaporator has plural tubes arranged in parallel with each other in a width direction perpendicular to an air flowing direction. The tubes are further arranged in a plural rows in the air flowing direction, and tank portions extending in the width direction are arranged in the plural rows in the air flowing direction to correspond to the tubes. In the evaporator, refrigerant flows through a zigzag-routed refrigerant passage formed by the tank portions and the tubes. A partition wall defining adjacent two tank portions in the air flowing direction has plural bypass holes through which the adjacent two tank portions directly communicate with each other. Therefore, the zigzag-routed refrigerant passage of the evaporator is readily formed without an additional side passage or the like. Thus, the number of components of the evaporator is reduced thereby simplifying the structure of the evaporator, and pressure loss of refrigerant flowing in the evaporator is decreased.

Refrigerant evaporator and manufacturing method for the same

An air conditioner includes a case accommodating an evaporator having a core portion and a lower tan disposed at a bottom of the core portion. The case has a recess portion disposed at an upstream air side of the evaporator, and a covering wall is formed to extend upwardly from the bottom of the recess portion to cover only the lower tank at an immediately upstream air side. When air passes through the evaporator, alien substances contained in air collide with the evaporator and fall to be deposited in the recess portion. Therefore, the deposition of the alien substances do not directly adhere to the lower tank of the evaporator to prevent the evaporator from being corroded.

Air conditioner for preventing corrosion of evaporator

A core unit of a heat exchanger is composed of a plurality of parallel flat tubes, a plurality of corrugated fins, a support member disposed between two of the corrugated fins and an electric heater disposed inside the support member. The support member has a pair of parallel plates bonded to the corrugated fins at the summits of corrugation of the corrugated fins. The electric heater is composed of a heating element and an insulation member inserted between the heating element and the parallel plates.

A header has a tank member having a transverse cross-section of a circular arc shape, and a tube attachment member having a transverse cross-section flatter than the above-mentioned circular arc shape as a whole, are opposed and joined. The tube attachment member has identical curvature portions constituted with an inner diameter R2 which is the same as the inner diameter R2 of the tank member at both sides to be joined to the tank member, and has a large curvature portion constituted with an inner diameter R1 which is larger than the inner diameter R2 of the tank member at an intermediate portion interposed between the identical curvature portions. A connecting position P between the identical curvature portion and the large curvature portion is inside from both edges of a tube.

Disclosed herein are aluminum alloy fin materials useful for heat exchangers which consists of, in weight percentage, 0.8 to 1.8% Fe, 0.3 to 3.0% Zn, up to 0.3% Cu and at least one element selected from the group consisting of 0.05 to 0.25% Zr and 0.05 to 0.25% Cr, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities, wherein Mn in the unavoidable impurities is 0.3% or less. The fin material being characterized, after brazing, by its superior thermal conductivity and beneficial sacrificial anode effect. The fin material is also suitable as a core of a brazing fin material in combination with an Al-Si alloy brazing material in which the Al-Si alloy brazing material is clad as an outer cladding layer onto both sides of the core. The above unclad or clad fin materials can provide heat exchangers having high corrosion resistance and good heat transfer characteristics in combination with a fluid passage material made of brazing sheet or an extruded tube of pure aluminum or an aluminum alloy with not more than 0.5% Cu and/or not more than 0.5% Mn.
