A push-button switch comprises a cover member which is made from a synthetic resin, a switch case in which a plurality of fixed terminals are embedded by the unitary molding, and a slide member which receives movable contact pieces therein. Side walls of the switch case have thick-walled base portions and thin-walled upper edge portions, and the cover member is sandwiched between the pair of thin-walled upper edge portions so as to make the pair of opposing side walls parallel.

Push-button switch

A device incorporated in a push button switch for representing the status of the switch has a representing plate member having an arm which is rotatably held at its mid portion by a supporting member. The arrangement is such that the sum of the stroke of an operation rod and a rotation of the arm is transmitted to the representing plate member to provide a larger stroke of the later, so as to ensure a distinctive representation for a given stroke of the push button.

Device for representing status of push button switch

An end of a stiff wire latching member is slidable in a heart shaped groove of a slider in such a manner that the slider latches in a depressed position when pushed once and unlatches when pushed again. A compression spring retained by a cap member urges the end of the wire into the groove to ensure proper operation. In one embodiment of the invention a cap member which retains the spring is formed with an elongated hole through which the wire may be passed for assembly, after which the spring is inserted and retained together in this manner for assembly with the slider.

Switch-latching mechanism

First and second sets of fixed contacts are axially spaced from each other. A rotor disc is axially movable between the contact sets so that electrically conductive patterns formed on opposite sides of the rotor disc selectively engage with the first and second contacts sets respectively. A detent mechanism yieldably holds the rotor disc in engagement with the selected first or second contact set and yieldably holds the rotor disc in one of a plurality of rotational positions in which the pattern interconnects the contacts in the desired manner.

Rotary switch assembly

A rotary pulse switch wherein either one of two circuits can be selected depending on the direction of rotation of a turn shaft, and the selected circuit can be turned on and off consecutively. The switch includes a rotor having a conductor portion comprised of a ring-shaped common portion and a plurality of radially extending rotary contact portions. An insulating shutter plate is disposed between the rotor and contacts engageable therewith. The contacts include two adapted to engage the rotary contact portions and a single contact adapted to engage the common portion. Rotation of the shutter plate in either direction will electrically isolate one of the two contacts while electrically connecting the other of the two with the rotary contact portions.

Rotary pulse switch

An indicating mechanism for use with a pushbutton switch is disclosed which comprises a hollow nob, a window formed of a transparent plate attached to one end of the hollow nob, an indicating member having an indicating surface and a leg portion formed with a recess for permitting the indicating member to move the interval equal to the width of the recess, two or more resilient plates each having a curved portion and disposed within the hollow nob so that the curved portions can cover the indicating surface of the indicating member when the indicating surface is moved away from the transparent plate and can hold the indicating member when the indicating surface is moved near to the transparent plate.

Indicating mechanism for push button switches

First and second switch blocks comprising a plurality of first and second push button switches respectively are connected together in parallelism and in mirror symmetry and are provided with first and second latch bars common to the first and second switches respectively. The switch blocks are held together by detachable connectors which, in turn, support pivotal levers. The levers engage the ends of the switch block latch bars and cause interlocking of any pushbutton switch or switches in the depressed position and unlatch any previously depressed pushbutton switch or switches in either the first or second switch blocks.

Two integrally formed fixed contacts each have a lead portion with terminals at the opposite ends extending external of the switch housing and a contact portion connected to the lead portion by a connecting portion. A holder slidable in the housing retains a U-shaped movable contact which is movable to and from a position in which the opposed internal faces of the movable contact engage with the opposed external faces of the fixed contacts respectively to establish ohmic connection between the lead portions of the two fixed contacts.
