An outer-ring-equivalent component having an annular raceway surface on which rolling elements roll is disposed on an outer circumference of a bearing. The bearing is, for example, a retainer-equipped roller. Between the bearing and a fixed member located apart from the bearing in an axial direction, a thrust washer is interposed so as to be movable in the axial direction. A gap forming device is provided which constantly forms a gap between the thrust washer and the outer-ring-equivalent component. For example, as the gap forming device, an axial width of the bearing is made larger than an axial width of the outer-ring-equivalent component.

Bearing structure

A retainer-equipped roller includes a retainer () having a pair of ring parts () separated in an axis O direction and column parts () arranged circumferentially at regular intervals so as to form pockets () and connect the pair of ring parts (), and a plurality of rollers () arranged in the pockets. The roller () has a chamfered part () provided between a roller end face and a roller rolling surface (). The column part () is positioned on a radial outer side of a pitch circle PCD of the roller (), and a distance between the circumferentially adjacent column parts (and) is smaller than a diameter of the roller (). The pair of ring parts () has a pair of projection members () projecting such that their tip ends are opposed so as to come close to each other, in circumferentially the same position as the column part (), and in a position on a radially inner side of the pitch circle PCD of the roller (). The tip ends of the pair of projection members () abut on the chamfered parts () provided at both ends of the roller () and hold the roller between the pair of ring parts ().

Retainer-equipped roller

A retained roller assembly, capable of facilitating the lubricating functionality, includes a cylindrical roller retainer having a plurality of pockets defined therein and arranged in a circumferential direction thereof, rollers accommodated within those pockets, respectively, and a roller retaining projection formed in opening edges of side faces, opposite to each other in the circumferential direction and situated on an inner diametric side and an outer diametric side, respectively. A roller guide face for guiding the corresponding roller is provided at an axial position on the side faces of each of the pockets that are different from the associated roller retaining projection. An annular recessed portion is provided in axially opposed ends of an inner diametric surface of the retainer so as to deploy over the entire periphery of the retainer.

Retained roller assembly

A cradle bearing comprises a circular arcuate outer race arranged in a circular arcuate recessed part provided in a housing, a plurality of rollers arranged along the inner circumferential surface of the outer race and supporting a swash plate swingably, and a retainer for retaining the interval between the rollers. An engagement member and the end face of the retainer in the circumferential direction are in face-to-face contact with each other.
