Screw segment

A seal ring is provided which allows the interior of a cylinderof a screw extruder to be maintained at elevated temperature and elevated pressure, thus suppressing a variation in the pressure in the cylinder. In a special seal ringattached to a screw shaftin the cylinder of the screw extruder so as to be rotatable integrally with the screw shaft, thus restraining a material to be treated from being fed from upstream to downstream in the cylinder, a lead grooveextending in an axial direction of the shaftis formed in an outer circumferential surfaceopposing with a predetermined gap to an inner circumferential surfaceof the cylinder. The lead grooveserves to disturb the flow of the material to be treated passing between the outer circumferential surfaceand the inner wall surfaceof the cylinderto complex the flow. This stabilizes feeding resistance to suppress a variation in the pressure in the cylinder

Seal ring

A differential pressure in a boundary portion between a streaked or linear fluid channel formed of a plurality of convex and concave portions disposed adjacent to one another in an undulated manner and a distribution channel for distributing a reactant gas or cooling water to be introduced into the plurality of fluid channels is reduced. In a structure of a separator of a fuel cell having a structure including streaked fluid channels formed of adjacent convex and concave portions formed on the surface of the separator, and a distribution channel which distributes, to these fluid channels, a fluid to be introduced into the fluid channels, in a boundary portion between the linear fluid channel and the distribution channel, a position of a terminal end of the convex portion constituting the fluid channel and a position of a terminal end of the concave portion are displaced in a streak direction of the fluid channel. It is preferable that the terminal end of the concave portion is positioned closer to the distribution channel than the terminal end of the convex portion. It is also preferable that the separator has a structure of such a type that front and back surfaces are integrated.

Separator of fuel cell

A process and an apparatus for recycling resin scrap including a thermosetting resin paint film and a thermoplastic resin substrate as its major components, wherein the resin scrap is supplied into a passage of a cylinder, melted, and delivered by screw arrays from an upstream side to a downstream side of the passage of the cylinder, and hydrolyzed by a hydrolyzing agent while forming a highly packed region with a resistor. The resistor restricts the resin scrap to flow from the upstream side to the downstream side in a short period of time, and forms the highly packed region where a contact efficiency is enhanced between the resin scrap and the hydrolyzing agent.

Apparatus for recycling resin scrap

A process for recycling a thermoplastic resin covered with a thermosetting-resin paint film includes the steps of decomposing the paint film by bringing the thermoplastic resin covered with the paint film into contact with a paint-film-decomposing agent in a molten state, and removing decomposed products, resulting from the paint film and the paint-film-decomposing agent, and the residual paint-film-decomposing agent by degassification to prepare a recycled resin. The paint-film-decomposing agent can be primary amines and/or secondary amines having a boiling point of 250.degree. C. or less, or being decomposed at 250.degree. C. or less, or can be tertiary amines and/or quaternary amines having a boiling point of 250.degree. C. or less, or being decomposed at 250.degree. C. or less to which water and/or alcohols is added.

Process for recycling resin covered with paint film

A process and an apparatus for recycling resin scrap including a thermosetting resin paint film and a thermoplastic resin substrate as its major components, wherein the resin scrap is supplied into a passage of a cylinder, melted, and delivered by delivering means from an upstream side to a downstream side of the passage of the cylinder, and hydrolyzed by a hydrolyzing agent while forming a highly packed region with a resistor. The resistor restricts the resin scrap to flow from the upstream side to the downstream side in a short period of time, and forms the highly packed region where a contact efficiency is enhanced between the resin scrap and the hydrolyzing agent.

Process for recycling resin scrap and apparatus therefor

An object of this invention is to provide a sealed rotary feeder for use in an apparatus which continuously processes chips made of synthetic resin with a coating under high pressure and temperature without degrading its material strength. The sealed rotary feeder according to this invention consists of a cylindrical casing having a chip inlet on the upper side of the cylindrical casing and a chip outlet on the low side of the cylindrical casing, a rotor in the cylindrical casing, plural blades which are movably inserted into channels radially formed around the rotor, and divide the cylindrical casing into plural baskets, pressing apparatus which press the plural blades against the inner surface of the cylindrical casing, and walls which form the channels are extended at the vicinity of the inner surface of the cylindrical casing.

Sealed rotary feeder

An object of this invention is to provide a sealed rotary feeder for use in an apparatus which continuously processes chips made of synthetic resin with a coating under high pressure and temperature without degrading its material strength. The sealed rotary feeder according to this invention consists of a cylindrical casing having a chip inlet on the upper side of said cylindrical casing and a chip outlet on the low side of said cylindrical casing, a rotor in said cylindrical casing, plural blades which are movably inserted into channels radially formed around said rotor, and divide said cylindrical casing into plural baskets, pressing means which press said plural blades against the inner surface of said cylindrical casing, and walls which form said channels are extended at the vicinity of the inner surface of said cylindrical casing.

Waste parts made of synthetic resin and having a hydrolyzable coating thereon are crushed into chips. The chips are supplied quantitatively to a hydrolyzer apparatus where they are continuously transported through the hydrolyzer with a screw while in contact with steam so as to hydrolyze the coating. The chips with the hydrolyzed coating are dried in a drying furnace and the dried chips are transported to a kneader wherein the hydrolyzed coating is kneaded into chips. The kneaded chips are cooled and then pelletized into pellets in a pelletizing apparatus.

Method for continuously recycling waste parts having a coating thereon

A method of manufacturing a molded wooden product includes the steps of: preparing a ligneous molding material by adding a binder essentially consisting of a synthetic resin and the like to wood fibers; adjusting the weight of the molding material in a fibrous state or in a state of being aggregated into a predetermined configuration; directly supplying the molding material to a shaping mold; shaping the outer periphery of the molding material by moving the shaping mold toward the center in conformity with the final external shape of a molded product; and hot compression molding the molding material, thereby obtaining a molded wooden product of a predetermined configuration.

A molded wooden product comprised of wood fibers to which a binder containing a synthetic resin or the like has been added, characterized in that it has portions of varying thickness, preferably a deep-drawn portion and a thickened peripheral portion, the molded wooden product being of substantially uniform density throughout.

Manufacturing method for a tubular shell of a constant velocity universal-joint for flexibly coupling two rotary shafts, to one of which the shell is fixed at a flange thereof. The method comprises a groove and preliminary flange forming process and a flange forming process. In the former process a hollow cylindrical blank is applied pressing in a radial direction for forming plural grooves therein and forming at the same time a preliminary flange at one end of the cylindrical blank by expanding it into a funnel shape, and in the latter process the preliminary flange formed on a semi-finished article in the former process is formed into a completed flange by a flange forming die, while holding the semi-finished article in a restrained status under pressure from either side, external and internal, by means of restraining dies. An apparatus suitable for performing the method is also disclosed.
