A composite molded article obtained by laser welding molded article composed of a polyester resin composition having a crystallinity of 15% or more as calculated with fast scanning calorimetry by a calculation method, wherein the calculation method includes using fast scanning calorimetry, the polyester resin composition is heated from 30&#xb0; C. to 260&#xb0; C. at 10000&#xb0; C./second, then maintained at 260&#xb0; C. for 0.1 second, then cooled to 80&#xb0; C. at 5000&#xb0; C./second, maintained at 80&#xb0; C. for 0.1 second, then cooled to &#x2212;70&#xb0; C. at 5000&#xb0; C./second, and then heated to 260&#xb0; C. at 1000&#xb0; C./second, after which the curve obtained is used to calculate the crystallinity.

A thermoplastic polyester resin composition has an excellent retention stability and is capable of producing a molded article excellent in mechanical properties and heat resistance as well as in long-term hydrolysis resistance; and the molded article. The thermoplastic polyester resin includes 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester resin (A) and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a biphenyl aralkyl-type epoxy resin or cyclopentadiene-type epoxy resin (B) of a specific type.

A flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester resin composition of an embodiment of the present invention contains 1-70 parts by weight of two or more (C) phosphorus-containing flame retardants that are selected from the group consisting of (C-1) condensed phosphoric acid esters, (C-2) phosphazene compounds and (C-3) organic metal phosphinates and 1-90 parts by weight of (D) a nitrogen-containing flame retardant per 100 parts by weight of the total of 50-95 parts by weight of (A) a thermoplastic polyester resin and 5-50 parts by weight of (B) a methacrylic resin.

The present invention is directed to a method for producing a polylactic acid resin, including the step of subjecting a crystallized prepolymer, which is a prepolymer including a lactic acid unit as a main component, and has an optical purity (Ea) of 60 to 94%, a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 100,000, and a crystal melting enthalpy (&#x394;Hma) of 4 to 50 J/g, to solid phase polymerization. According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a polylactic acid resin which is excellent in moldability upon melt processing and drawdown resistance upon melt processing, and is also excellent in hydrolysis resistance.

A thermoplastic resin composition obtained by mixing 100 parts by weight of at least one thermoplastic resin (A) with 0.1 to 4 parts by weight of (B) a polyfunctional compound having three or more functional groups in which at least one of the terminal structures having the functional groups is a structure represented by formula (1): where R is an alkylene group with 1-15 carbon atoms; n is an integer of 1 to 10; and X is at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl group, aldehyde group, carboxyl group, sulfo group, amino group, isocyanate group, carbodiimide group, oxazoline group, oxazine group, amide group, silanol group and silyl ether group.

A flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition that has a largely decreased corrosiveness to metals while maintaining a high degree of flame retardancy is provided, which is produced by adding a phosphinic acid salt and a compound having a specific structure to a thermoplastic resin, and molded articles with largely decreased corrosiveness to metals are also provided, so that useful molded articles can be provided as materials for mechanical machine parts, electric/electronic components, and automotive parts. A thermoplastic resin composition and a molded article thereof, respectively excellent in flowability and mechanical properties, and, in a preferred mode, also excellent in low warping property, laser transmittance and laser weldability, is obtained by mixing (B) 0.1 to 4 parts by weight of a polyfunctional compound having three or more functional groups, in which at least one of the terminal structures having the functional groups is a structure containing alkylene oxide units, with (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin, and further provides a molded particle thereof. Poly(lactic acid) polymer compositions each contain an appropriate poly(lactic acid) polymer and a suitable plasticizer having a polyether and/or polyester segment in combination. The compositions exhibit satisfactory flexibility and show very small amount of the evaporation, migration and extraction (bleedout) of the plasticizer and losing transparency upon heating. The poly(lactic acid) polymer compositions are useful as formed plastics such as films.

Polylactic acid base polymer composition, molding thereof and film

Disclosed are a resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin and a polyacetal resin, and such a resin composition in which the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin are kept miscible with each other. The resin composition has good moldability, workability, mechanical properties, heat resistance and transparency, and may be worked into moldings, films and fibers for practical use.
