An actuator includes a rod, an electric motor to generate a rotational driving force on supply of electricity, an output shaft to output the rotational driving force of the electric motor to the rod, a feed screw mechanism, and a rotation prevention mechanism. The feed screw mechanism includes a female screw portion formed on one of the output shaft and the rod, and a male screw portion formed on the other to mesh with the female screw portion. The rotation prevention mechanism is configured to regulate rotation of the rod caused by the rotational driving force of the electric motor.

Electric flow control valve and actuator

A battery charger of a battery charging apparatus is disposed on an exterior case of an engine in such a manner that a generated heat is transferred therebetween. An ECU drives a cooling system when an engine temperature and temperature of the battery charger satisfy a predetermined cooling temperature condition. A cooling capacity for cooling the battery charger is improved by establishing a heat radiation passage to radiate a heat from the battery charger efficiently.

Battery charging apparatus for vehicle

A charging device for a battery of a vehicle includes an insulation resistance detecting circuit, a charging circuit, a leak current detecting circuit and a decoupling circuit. The insulation resistance detecting circuit includes a coupling capacitor, and is disposed between the battery and a vehicle body for detecting an insulation resistance between the battery and the vehicle body. The charging circuit converts an alternating current supplied from an alternating current source into a direct current and charges the battery in a state without insulting the input terminal and the output terminal and in a state where the vehicle body is coupled to an earth. The leak current detecting circuit detects a leak current between the charging circuit and the earth. The decoupling circuit decouples the insulation resistance detecting circuit from one of the battery and the vehicle body during a charging of the battery.

Charging device

A power conversion apparatus includes: a bridge circuit between AC and DC ends; a converter circuit between the bridge circuit and the DC end; and a control device for the converter circuit. The converter circuit includes: first and second switches in series between terminals of the bridge circuit; third and fourth switches in series between terminals of the DC end; and a reactor between an intermediate point of the first and second switches and an intermediate point of the third and fourth switches. The control device includes: a first controller defining a part of a cycle of an AC voltage as a stop period and stopping switching the first and second switches during the stop period; and a second controller performing voltage/power factor correction controls over an entire cycle by switching the third and/or fourth switches.

Power conversion apparatus that provides power conversion between AC and DC power

A power supply device includes a refrigeration cycle having a compressor, a motor, an inverter-integrated charger, a heat exchanger unit, and a controller having a determining unit. The inverter-integrated charger selectively controls operation of the motor using electrical power of a battery and charge of the battery with external power. The heat exchanger unit cools a cooling-necessary part of the inverter-integrated charger using refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle. When the vehicle is stopped and the battery is charged with the external power, the controller makes the inverter-integrated charger serve as: a charger to perform the charge of the battery; or an inverter to control the operation of the motor, thereby driving the compressor, upon determination that the cooling-necessary part needs to be cooled by the determining unit.

Power supply device for vehicle

The electric rotating machine includes a rotor relatable around a rotating shaft disposed horizontally, a stator core formed with slots, and a stator coil constituted of in-slot portions each of which is accommodated in a corresponding one of the slots, and turn portions each of which connects corresponding adjacent two of the in-slot portions at a position outside the stator core. The turn portions form a coil end projecting axially outward from an end surface of the stator core at each of both axial end sides of the stator core. The coil end is formed in a cylindrical shape including an axial end surface of a flat shape, and inner and outer peripheral surfaces of a circular shape. The electric rotating machine further includes a coolant supply section to supply coolant to an upper part of the outer peripheral surface of the coil end.

Cooling structure for electric rotating machine

Heat discharging property of the stator coil end is improved effectively in a rotating electric machine. A motor as the rotating electric machine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator core and resin mold coil ends provided on both axial ends thereof. Column-shaped projections projecting in the axial direction are provided on axial side surfaces of resin mold coil ends at a plurality of positions. Cooling oil supplied from above the resin mold coil ends effectively cools the resin mold coil ends.

Rotating electric machine and cooling system for the rotating electric machine

A rotor core has permanent magnets. Magnetic flux of the permanent magnet of an even-numbered rotor magnetic pole part is guided in an axial direction by an axial magnetic path member. Magnetic flux of the permanent magnet of an odd-numbered rotor magnetic pole part is guided into a soft magnetic inner cylindrical part. The axial end faces of the inner cylindrical part and the axial magnetic path member protrude from the rotor core in the axial direction and face a stationary magnetic path member with a small gap therebetween. The amount of magnetic flux of the magnet, which the permanent magnet applies to a stator core is adjusted by an excitation current of an excitation coil wound on the stationary magnetic path member.

Hybrid-type synchronous machine

A laminated core includes a laminated body, clamping plates and holding members. The laminated body includes a plurality of amorphous alloy plates, which are stacked one after another in a stacking direction such that each adjacent two of the plurality of amorphous alloy plates directly contact with each other. The clamping plates contact opposed end surfaces, respectively, of the laminated body in the stacking direction. A thickness of each of the first and second clamping plates in the stacking direction is larger than that of each of the plurality of amorphous alloy plates. Each holding member contacts with the clamping plates and maintains a predetermined space between the clamping plates while the laminated body is clamped between the clamping plates.

Laminated core

A method of manufacturing an electric rotating machine having a stator that includes a stator core having slots formed at an inner periphery thereof, and a stator winding constituted by conductive wires wound on the slots. The stator winding includes in-slot portions accommodated in the slots and turn portions each connecting each adjacent two of the in-slot portions outside the slots. The stator core includes a core member having at least three tooth portions extending in a radial direction of the stator core and a core back portion integrally connecting the tooth portions at a radially end side thereof. The core member is configured such that each of the first tooth portions folded toward the core back portion is capable of unfolding to extend between a corresponding adjacent two of the in-slot portions when the core member is at a predetermined axial position with respect to the stator winding.

Stator of electric rotating machine

An electromagnetic device includes a plurality of coils formed by winding conductors. At least some of the conductors are constructed by stacking conductor constructional elements so that an eddy current generated by a leakage flux linked to the conductor is divided. An outer insulating member is disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the conductor stack for electrically insulating the conductor stack from another member. An inner insulating member whose thickness is smaller than a thickness of the outer insulating member is disposed between the conductor constructional elements adjoining to each other in the same conductor stack.

Electromagnetic device

A semiconductor device includes: a base member; a solder layer; and a semiconductor chip disposed on the base member through the solder layer. The chip has an in-plane temperature distribution when the chip is operated. The chip has an allowable maximum temperature as a temperature limit of operation. The in-plane temperature distribution of the chip provides a temperature of the chip at each position of a surface of the chip. The temperature margin at each position is obtained by subtracting the temperature of the chip from the allowable maximum temperature. The solder layer has an allowable maximum diameter of a void at each position, the void being disposed in the solder layer. The allowable maximum diameter of the void at each position becomes larger as the temperature margin at the position becomes larger.

Semiconductor device having semiconductor chip on base through solder layer and method for manufacturing the same

In a heat storage tank, a discharge port of an introduction passage is covered by a cup-shaped collision member constructed by a shield portion and a guide cover. In addition, a mixture protection plate having plural through holes is disposed in a tank body between the collision member and an inner surface of the tank body. Therefore, a high-speed water stream, upwardly injected from the discharge port, collides with the shield portion, and turns its flow direction by an approximately right angle. Thereafter, the water stream is guided by the guide cover to a lower side of the mixture protection plate. Accordingly, it can prevent water stored in the tank body from being mixed even when the injection water stream has a high speed.

Heat storage tank

In a refrigerant cycle system, refrigerant compressed in a first compressor is cooled and condensed in a radiator, and refrigerant from the radiator branches into main-flow refrigerant and supplementary-flow refrigerant. The main-flow refrigerant is decompressed in an expansion unit while expansion energy of the main-flow refrigerant is converted to mechanical energy. Thus, the enthalpy of the main-flow refrigerant is reduced along an isentropic curve. Therefore, even when the pressure within the evaporator increases, refrigerating effect is prevented from being greatly reduced in the refrigerant cycle system. Further, refrigerant flowing into the radiator is compressed using the converted mechanical energy. Thus, coefficient of performance of the refrigerant cycle system is improved.

Refrigerant cycle system with expansion energy recovery

In a heat storage tank, first and second valve bodies are disposed to open and close first and second valve ports, respectively. A density of the first valve body is made larger than that of cooling water, and a density of the second valve body is made smaller than that of cooling water. When the dynamic pressure due to cooling water is applied to the first and second valve bodies, the first and second valve ports are opened by the first and second valve bodies. On the other hand, when the dynamic pressure is not applied to the first and second valve bodies, the first valve body closes the first valve port by the weight of the first valve body, and the second valve body closes the second valve port by the buoyancy.
