An image forming apparatus includes: a driving source including an output shaft including a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion; a first gear including (i) a first portion provided with a first opening and (ii) a second portion provided with a second opening having a smaller diameter than that of the first opening, and (iii) gear teeth formed on an outer peripheral surface of the second portion, the first gear being mounted on the output shaft such that the large diameter portion is inserted into the first opening and the small diameter portion is inserted into the second opening; and a second gear that engages with the gear teeth of the first gear and is driven by the first gear. Rotation of the first gear with respect to the output shaft is restricted by at least a part of the large diameter portion.

Image forming apparatus including particular gear-shaft configuration

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a photoconductor unit, and a developing cartridge. The apparatus body includes a controller and a body-side contact portion. The photoconductor unit includes a photoconductor, a charger, and a frame body. The developing cartridge includes a developing roller, a storage medium configured to store information, and a cartridge-side contact portion. The photoconductor unit includes a first contact portion configured to be electrically connected to the body-side contact portion, a second contact portion configured to be electrically connected to the cartridge-side contact portion, and a wiring portion electrically connecting the first contact portion and the second contact portion. The photoconductor unit further includes a separating member. The separating member is arranged to separate the charger and the part of the wiring portion when viewed in the rotational axis direction of the photoconductor.

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a conveyance portion to convey a sheet in a sheet conveyance direction, and a moving member having a main body portion, a contact portion configured to come into contact with the sheet conveyed by the conveyance portion, and a shaft portion provided on the main body portion, with the moving member configured to be moved due to the contact portion contacting the sheet. A first support portion pivotably supports a first part of the shaft portion such that the moving member is configured to pivot around the shaft, and a second support portion pivotably and slidably supports a second part of the shaft portion such that the second part of the shaft portion swings around the first part. In addition, a biasing member biases the moving member, and a sensor transmits a signal according to a position of the moving member.

Sheet conveyance apparatus

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a reverse conveyance portion and a second conveyance direction, a supporting portion configured to support a lower surface of the sheet conveyed by the reverse conveyance portion, and an opposing portion provided along and above the supporting portion. Either one of the supporting portion and the opposing portion includes a first projected portion. The other of the supporting portion and the opposing portion includes a second projected portion and a third projected portion. The first projected portion is arranged between the second projected portion and the third projected portion in a width direction intersecting with the first conveyance direction. At least a part of the first projected portion is arranged to overlap with the second projected portion and the third projected portion in a sheet thickness direction.

Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a guide member, a holding member, and urging members. The guide member can move between a first position to guide a conveyed sheet toward a first conveyance path and a second position to guide the conveyed sheet toward a second conveyance path. A first urging member applying applies an urging force to the holding member so that the guide member is held at the first position. The second urging member applies, to the guide member, an urging force to move the guide member from the first to the second position. The holding member is movable between a hold position at which the guide member is held and a release position in which the holding member releases the guide member. When the holding member is at the release position, the guide member is held at the second position by the second urging member urging force.

A sheet detecting apparatus which detects a sheet conveyed while being nipped by a pair of fixing rollers includes: an abutting portion which is supported so as to be rotatable about a rotation shaft and against which the sheet abuts; and a photo sensor which detects the rotation of the abutting portion, wherein the rotation shaft is disposed at a predetermined inclination angle so that the rotation shaft is not parallel to a sheet surface of the sheet against which the abutting portion abuts.

A slide restricting member for restricting detachment of a feed roller which is rotatably supported and which is detachably held in an axial direction is held at a lock release position for allowing the detachment of the feed roller by a rib of a sheet feeding frame, a projection of an auxiliary member, and a snap fit. When the feed roller is mounted on the sheet feeding frame, the slide restricting member positioned at the lock release position is moved to a lock position in conjunction with a mounting operation of the feed roller.
