A sensor device is disclosed for measuring an amount of moisture in a medium that includes: a transmission antenna; a reception antenna to receive electromagnetic waves transmitted from the transmission antenna and through a medium; a measurement unit to measure the electromagnetic waves propagating to the reception antenna; and a sensor casing and further includes a transmission substrate including a plurality of wiring layers and a reception substrate including a plurality of wiring layers, and a measurement unit substrate including a plurality of wiring layers and includes the measurement unit or a first coating layer that, in a part of the transmission substrate, coats an outer circumference of the substrate and is formed from an electromagnetic wave absorbent material and a second coating layer that, in a part of the reception substrate, coats an outer circumference of the substrate and is formed from an electromagnetic wave absorbent material.

Sensor device

A sensor apparatus includes a sensor head and a measurement unit. The sensor head includes a first probe and a second probe. The first probe includes a first tiny antenna section for transmission and a second tiny antenna section for transmission. The second probe is arranged at a predetermined distance from the first probe, and includes a first tiny antenna section for reception and a second tiny antenna section for reception. The measurement unit generates a measurement signal that includes information regarding characteristics of a propagation of an electromagnetic wave in a medium between the first tiny antenna section for transmission and the first tiny antenna section for reception, and information regarding characteristics of the propagation of the electromagnetic wave in the medium between the second tiny antenna section for transmission and the second tiny antenna section for reception. The first probe and the second probe have different probe lengths, or a distance between the first tiny antenna section for transmission and the first tiny antenna section for reception, and a distance between the second tiny antenna section for transmission and the second tiny antenna section for reception are different from each other.

Sensor apparatus and water amount measurement apparatus

A measurement device that measures an amount of moisture in a medium. The device includes a transmitter that transmits an electrical signal including an incident wave to one of a pair of probes in which a cable has been embedded through the cable. A receiver receives a reflected wave obtained from reflection of the incident wave by the one of the pairs of probes and a transmitted wave that has been transmitted through a medium between the pair of probes through the cable. A processing unit obtains a reciprocating delay time corresponding to a time over which the electrical signal reciprocates through the cable and measures an amount of moisture contained in the medium on the basis of the reciprocating delay time and a propagation transmission time corresponding to a time over which electromagnetic waves propagate and the electrical signal is transmitted through the medium and the cable.

A device for measuring the amount of moisture in a medium that includes a transmission antenna that sends a signal as an electromagnetic wave, a reception antenna that receives the electromagnetic wave sent from the transmission antenna and transmitted through a medium, a measurement section that measures the electromagnetic wave propagated to the reception antenna, and a sensor casing. The sensor device further includes a transmission substrate that includes a plurality of wiring layers and a reception substrate that includes a plurality of wiring layers, or a first covering layer that partially covers an outer periphery of the transmission substrate and a second covering layer that partially covers an outer periphery of the reception substrate The coverings are formed of an electromagnetic wave absorption material. An inspection device and method suppressing measurement time and power consumption. A detection device according to the present disclosure includes a first probe with a first antenna unit for transmission, a second probe with a second antenna unit for reception, the second probe being opposed to the first probe at a predetermined distance, a measurement unit that measures a measurement signal including a propagation characteristic of an electromagnetic wave in a medium between the first and second antenna units, and a calculation unit that calculates characteristics information of the medium based on the measurement signal. In a first mode, the measurement unit measures the measurement signal in a first frequency band for the electromagnetic wave propagating in the medium, and in a second mode, the measurement unit measures the measurement signal in a second frequency band, which is a part of the first frequency band for the electromagnetic wave.

A sensor device according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a sensor head and a measurement unit. The sensor head includes a first probe and a second probe, the first probe including a first antenna section used for transmission, the second probe including a second antenna section used for reception, the second probe being situated at a specified distance from the first probe and facing the first probe.
