A liquid applying tool which can create pressurizing action with a simple structure and without any labor at the time of using the liquid applying tool, and allows liquid to be smoothly fed to a tip end of a liquid applicator member with the assistance of the pressurizing action.

Liquid applying tool

A writing instrument includes a cylindrical barrel and an end cover having a robust structure and attached to the cylindrical barrel. The end cover includes a cylindrical base attached to a rear end portion of the cylindrical barrel, a cover body fitted around an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical base, a stopper ring fitted around an outer peripheral surface of at least a fitted portion between the cylindrical base and the cover body, and a cooperation structure for enhancing a holding force which is exerted on the cover body by the cylindrical base and the stopper ring and for joining the cylindrical base, the cover body, and the stopper ring together to form a joined unit which includes the cylindrical base, the cover body and the stopper ring.

A problem of damage, breakage or dirtying of parts, resulting from attachment of the parts is solved by eliminating press-fitting and bonding for attachment of a clip ornament to a clip piece. A clip ornament includes an ornament main body to be inserted into an attachment hole of a clip piece and grip portions provided at upper and lower portions of the ornament main body so as to grip the clip piece. An attachment jig is moved along the lower surface of the clip piece, the leading end of the attachment jig is inserted between the upper and lower grip portions, a gap between the upper and lower grip portions is widened while the clip ornament is moved for attachment, and the lip of the attachment hole of the clip piece is inserted between the upper and lower grip portions.

A composite holding device, includes a casing for accommodating a plurality of holders for holding media to serve either different or similar purposes, a supporting section for supporting the holders to be movable in an axial direction in the casing, a feed mechanism, provided in the casing, for selectively advancing one of the plurality of holders, and a manipulating mechanism for operating the feed mechanism, to project the tip of one of the plurality of holders out of a fore end opening at the tip of the casing and make usable the tip of one of the plurality of holders. A supported section of each holder supported by the supporting section is rotatably supported in relation to the supporting section.

A holding chuck unit including the holding chuck and the sleeve bolster, and a feed chuck unit including the feed chuck and a sleeve can come into contact with each other in the barrel cap.

The clip is made of a thin plate metal material, and has a base part to be inserted into an outer sleeve and a main body part to be extended outside the outer sleeve, and the main body part has an approximately U-shaped cross section made by bending downward both sides of the thin plate, and between the base part and the main body part, a closing part for closing the rear end opening of the inner sleeve is provided. The main body part side of the closing part has an approximately U-shaped cross section made by downward bending both sides thereof and the approximately U-shaped cross section from the main body part is continued, and the base part side of the closing part is shaped like a plate, and the downward bent portion of both sides of the closing part is inserted into the inner sleeve when the clip is not swung.

A rotary stick projecting device comprises an inner barrel provided in its inner surface with helical grooves and on its outer surface with projections, a front barrel receiving a front part of the inner barrel so as to permit the inner barrel to turn relative to the front barrel, a rear barrel attached to the front barrel and provided on its inner surface with longitudinal projections which engage with the projections formed on the outer surface of the inner barrel to restrain the inner barrel from turning; and a slider having a front part provided with a stick holding part, and a rear part in engagement with the helical grooves of the inner barrel, capable of axial movement, and incapable of turning relative to the front barrel.

A writing instrument is provided in which assembling thereof can be finished by inserting a writing medium advancing mechanism into an outer barrel from the rear end side thereof, in which the outer appearance thereof is not injured and the assembling thereof is easy. A lead advancing mechanism 10 has a chuck 13 connected with a front portion of a front tank member 12a, a chuck ring 14 surrounding an outer surface of the chuck 13, a sleeve 15 disposed so as to be able to contact a rear end of the chuck ring 14, a chuck spring 16 interposed between the sleeve 15 and a front end of the front tank member 12b to force the front tank member 12b backward. The sleeve 15 is formed with engaging projections 15a and with slits 15b each of which surrounds three sides of each engaging projection 15a, respectively, in such a manner that a resilient engaging means 15c is constructed, which can be resilient in radial directions of the sleeve. The resilient engaging portion 15c is engaged with a front end 3b of the rear barrel 3.

The present invention provides writing instruments having a mechanism for extending and retracting a writing tip and advancing a lead by rotational operation. The writing instrument is comprised of a front tubular member (1); a front inner tubular member (2) disposed within the front tubular member (1); a refill (3) inserted into the front inner tubular member (2); and a driver (10) mounted in the front tubular member (1) and the front inner tubular member (2). The driver (10) is allowed to rotate but not be axial displaced relative to the front tubular member (1) and the front inner tubular member (2). A rear tubular member (5) is detachably connected to the driver (10) so as not to allow rotation relative to the driver (10). A rear inner tubular member (4) is inserted in the driver (10). The rear inner tubular member (4) and the driver (10) interengage with each other by engagement between at least one axial groove (11) and corresponding projections (12). The writing instrument further comprises an inclined path (7) provided on one of either front inner tubular member (2) or the rear inner tubular member (4). The inclined path (7) extends obliquely relative to the axial line of the writing instrument from a beginning end (7A) and a terminal end (7B). A projection (8) provided on the other of either the front inner tubular member (2) or the rear inner tubular member (4), engages the inclined path (7).

A projection (8) provided on the other of either the front inner tubular member (2) or the rear inner tubular member (4), engages the inclined path (7).
