The instant disclosure describes techniques and devices for facilitating migration of files between a source system and a target system. A system for facilitating migration of files between a source system and a target system includes an extraction component and an injection component. The extraction component includes at least one extraction handler and a profile engine operative to parse a profile specification, execute the at least one extraction handler, and provide a batch specification. The injection component includes a batch handler for obtaining pulled data from a source system, and a batch engine is operative to parse a batch specification and to create at least one file structure in the target system based on extracted structure information in the batch specification. Methods and GUIs for facilitating migration of files are also described.

Content migration tool and method associated therewith

Content transfer technology, in which a client side component sends, to a server side component, a request for a content file from an enterprise content management system. The server side component establishes a connection with the enterprise content management system and downloads the content file. The client side component requests the server side component to transfer, to the client side component, the content file in configurable size chunks over multiple threads. The server side component reads, from the content file, chunks of content of the size specified by the client side component and transfers, to the client side component, the chunks of content over the number of the multiple threads specified by the client side component. The client side component receives, over the multiple threads, the chunks of content and, when all of the chunks of content have been received, recombines the chunks of content into the content file.

Content transfer accelerator

Content authoring and deployment, in which mobile authoring templates that enable a user to make updates to a subset of a web page using a mobile device are generated and provided to a mobile device application. Configuration data that defines operations needed to publish content updates received through the mobile authoring templates is stored. When input defining a content update entered into a particular mobile authoring template is received, the configuration data associated with the particular mobile authoring template is accessed and content management services needed to publish the received content update to a web page are invoked. Content is published to the web page to reflect the received content update made on the mobile device using the particular mobile authoring template.

Content authoring and deployment technology

Access channel definition technology, in which a user experience for a secondary access channel is defined using one or more pre-configured user experience components that enable mapping of a user experience defined for a primary access channel to the user experience for the secondary access channel and that adapt the user experience for the secondary access channel to characteristics of devices that access the secondary access channel. In addition, a portal for the secondary access channel is defined using one or more pre-configured portal components and content management for the secondary access channel is defined using one or more pre-configured content management components that leverage content developed for the primary access channel and that customize presentation of the content for the secondary access channel. The secondary access channel is configured based on the defined user experience, the defined portal, and the defined content management.

Integration framework for enterprise content management systems

A document migration system that controls release, from a source enterprise content management system, of batches of documents and metadata and loading, to a target enterprise content management system, of batches of documents and metadata that have been released from the source enterprise content management system. The document migration system maps source metadata attributes from the released metadata to target metadata attributes and stores migration records that describe migration operations from release from the source enterprise content management system through loading to the target enterprise content management system.

Content archival and retrieval, in which connections with multiple, different enterprise applications operated by an organization are established. In addition, a connection with a central archival system is established and content to archive is received from the multiple, different enterprise applications. The central archival system is controlled to archive, in a central location, the content received from the multiple, different enterprise applications such that content from a first type of enterprise application is archived in the central location together with content from a second type of enterprise application.
