A method and system for providing account recommendations is disclosed. A server system stores sales data for a first member, wherein sales data includes profile information for one or more individual customers. The server system analyzes the profile information for one or more of the individual customers to identify one attributes associated with the customers. The server system determines one or more additional members with member profiles that include the one or more identified attributes. For a respective additional member in the at least one of the determined additional members the server system determines, based on stored information about the respective additional member, an respective organization associated with the at least one determined additional member; and selects the respective organization as an account recommendation.

Account recommendations

A method and system for providing lead recommendations are disclosed. A server system stores profile information for a plurality of members of a server system. The server system then analyzes the stored profile information to identify one or more potential sales lead recommendations for a first member of the server system. The server system then ranks the one or more identified potential sales lead recommendations. The server system selects one or more of the identified sales lead recommendations and transmits the selected one or more identified sales lead recommendations to a client device associated with the first member of the server system.

Lead recommendations

A method and system for providing account recommendations is disclosed. An online address book is configured to include a multi-user input bar to receive search terms intended to match contacts existing in a user's contact list. If a search term does not match any entry in the current contact list the search is extended by the multi-user input bar to include further candidate contacts. Candidate contacts are acquired through social profiles available from a set of networking sites linked-to over the Internet. A candidate contact that does match the search term is added to the contact list with a public profile whose contents are populated with contact data acquired from social profiles available through the networking sites. This practice of profile bookmarking may be applied iteratively across candidate contacts from various networking sites to build an extensive public profile.

A daily connection facility is available to the user either through a webpage or by e-mail in the form of a synopsis of connection identifiers between the user and their contacts. The web-based version presents connection information in the form of an agenda view, an engage view, and a reminder view. Each view type is selectable by corresponding tab on the webpage. The daily connected e-mail presents an agenda of meetings and events by location, title, and time. The daily connected e-mail also presents interesting profile and connection information about the attendees such as their communications in blogs and postings, recent communications with user, including messages and meetings, as well as contact information and a list of other contacts in common.

Providing social context to calendar events

System and method for recommending to a member of a social network an interaction with ones of a plurality of entities. Events related to individual ones of the plurality of entities are obtained. A relevance of ones of the events to the member is determined based on at least one characteristic of ones of the events and a trait of the member. Recommended interactions with ones of the plurality of entities individually related to the ones of the events based on the relevance for each of the events are presented to the user.

System and method for relevance-based social network interaction recommendation

A system, computer-readable storage medium, and computer-implemented method for automatic discovery of how and when people met is provided. A plurality of signals are analyzed to determine a level of significance of each of the plurality of signals in providing a suggested entry into a data field of a contact management system designated to provide a description of how a user met a contact. In response to at least one signal of the plurality of signals exceeding a threshold level of significance, a suggested entry for the data field of the contact management system is determined. The suggested entry of how a user met a contact is automatically displayed to a user.
