In a control system of a legged mobile robot having a body and legs connected to the body and driven by a leg actuator, there is provided an operation controller which identifies a human being like visitor to be conducted in a company building and the like, and controls operation of the leg actuator to conduct the identified visitor to a destination such as a reception room in the company building space along a route determined based on a map stored in a map database, while keeping pace with the visitor, thereby enabling to establish better communication with the visitor.

Legged mobile robot control system

A communication robot including: a situation change detection unit for detecting writing of information into a situation database; a rule detection unit for detecting, from a rule database, a rule corresponding to the situation indicated by the data stored in the situation database when the writing of information into the situation database is detected by the situation change detection unit; an action inducing parameter setting unit for setting the degree of interest of the detected rule to at least one of movable parts and an audio output unit independently in the situation database; a parameter changing unit for independently changing the degree of interest set for the at least one of the movable parts and the audio output unit; and a command unit for requesting the at least one of the movable parts and the audio output unit to execute the execution command indicated by the detected rule.

Communication robot

A robot recording a message on a wireless tag which includes: a voice recognition unit recognizing a voice input by a voice input unit which inputs a voice of a person; a message extraction unit extracting the message from the voice recognized by the voice recognition unit based on a fixed phrase provided for obtaining a message; a recording unit recording the message extracted by the message extraction unit on the wireless tag provided on an object.

Interface apparatus and mobile robot equipped with the interface apparatus

The present invention aims to provide an autonomous moving robot capable of visibly showing the human an initial check result for a sound input means in the initial stage after the robot device is turned on and activated, and whether or not the input sound was normally recognized. The robot has earsrespectively comprising microphonesfor external sound input, and LED displayswith a plurality of luminescent portions around the respective microphones. The luminescent portions of the LED displaysindicate the judgment of the initial check on whether or not the ears(the microphonesand the LED displays) are normally functioning when the robot is turned on and activated, by means of the lighting states of the displays.

Sound detection and associated indicators for an autonomous moving robot

To automate the work of recognizing a guest, check the appointment, notify a host of the arrival of the guest and conduct the guest to a designated place, a robot having a function to autonomously travel is equipped with camera/microphone for recognizing a guest at least according to image information. The system comprises management database adapted to communicate with the robot and equipped with an information database for identifying the recognized guest, and identifies the guest according to the information obtained from the camera/microphone and management database. The robot recognizes the guest from the image thereof, and the recognized guest is identified and verified by comparing the image of the visitor with the information contained in the database so that the robot can automatically conduct the guest to the designated meeting room according to the information of the appointment stored in the database.

Receptionist robot system

An operation control unit of a reception system includes a visitor ID information DB for storing therein visitor comparison information and visitor ID information including a phone number of a receiver of a visitor; an identifying unit for identifying the visitor when visitor information obtained by a camera or the like of the robot is identical to the visitor comparison information; a phone calling module for calling the phone number of a mobile terminal of the receiver via a phone network, when the visitor is identified; an informing content determining unit for determining an informing content to the receiver based on the visitor ID information, when the visitor is identified; and a speech generating part for converting the received information into a voice. The informing content is sent to the mobile terminal of the receiver via the phone network.

Reception system

A mobile robot which has a communication with a detection target by a motion of the mobile robot or by an utterance from the mobile robot, the mobile robot includes: a personal identification unit detecting an existence of the tag based on a signal transferred from the tag and obtaining the identification information stored on the tag; a position information acquisition unit obtaining distance information indicating a distance from the mobile robot to the detection target; a locomotion speed detection unit detecting a locomotion speed of the mobile robot; a personal information acquisition unit acquiring personal information based on the identification information; a communication motion determination unit determining contents of a communication motion based on the personal information; and an operation determination unit adjusting a start timing of each content of the communication motion based on distance information and on the locomotion speed of the mobile robot.
