Various embodiments include an actuator comprising: a motor; a transmission; an actuating connection; a first motor line and second motor line and a ground line. The motor is driven in a first or second direction by a motor voltage applied to the first or second motor line. There is also a motor control unit comprising a signal evaluation unit and a downstream actuating device for the motor, and a voltage supply unit to provide, from the first and/or second motor voltage, a supply DC voltage for a power supply of the motor control unit. The signal evaluation unit produces, for the duration of the application of the first and/or second motor voltage to the first and second motor line, associated actuating signals. The motor control unit electrically controls the motor in the associated first or second direction of rotation on the basis of actuating signals.

Adaptive actuator for operating on a three or four-wire external control line with different motor voltages and network frequencies

Various embodiments include an actuator comprising: a power supply connection; a processor for controlling and monitoring the actuator; a peripheral unit with power consumers; and a connection socket connected to a serial interface of the processor. The processor receives primary configuration data from an operating device connected to the connection socket and/or sends secondary configuration data and/or diagnostic data to the operating device. A respective current fed in externally feeds exclusively into a common connection. There is a voltage regulator for supplying power to the processor and a switch configured to be activated by the processor for supplying power to the peripheral unit, both connected downstream of the common connection. The processor activates the switch to close only if the voltage detected at a feed-in point of the power supply connection exceeds a first limit or if the voltage detected at the common connection exceeds a second limit.

Actuator with a USB interface

The present disclosure relates to actuators. The teachings thereof may be embodied in an actuator drive for a flap or for a valve for setting a gaseous or liquid volume flow, for example in the heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning of a building, for a DC motor with a reduction gear connected downstream and a gearbox-side output. The actuator may include: a motor control unit and a voltage supply unit. The motor may be a brushless two-phase DC motor with a stator comprising a quadruple T armature, each armature comprising an armature coil and a radially outward-lying rotor mounted to rotate relative to the stator. Each armature may have precisely four alternating permanent magnetic poles uniformly distributed. The rotor is connected to a spring applying a restoring force to the rotor if the rotor is deflected from a rest position. The motor control unit includes switches for the DC motor and connects the armature coils to the voltage supply unit as a function of a rotational position of the rotor and the armature coils are interconnected in such a way that, when subjected to current excitation, two adjacent armature coils never form magnetic poles having the same polarity.
