A system and method for training a system to recognize a user within a video feed and to automatically apply user-preferred device setting values to a camera and/or a lighting device. The method includes training the system to recognize the user's face and allowing the user to select user-preferred device setting values, which result in an optimal exposure for their face within the video feed. The method further includes detecting the face of the user, at a later time, and applying the user-preferred device setting values to a camera and/or lighting device. Such a system may be used in a variety of applications, including video calls.

System and method for applying user-preferred settings for external devices

A system and method for automatically adjusting lighting settings to optimize the image quality of a video feed is disclosed. The method includes receiving a video feed from a camera, detecting a face within the video feed, and defining a facial region bounding the detected face. The method also includes analyzing the facial region and determining an image characteristic corresponding to the facial region. The method can also include sending commands to a lighting device to automatically adjust one or more lighting settings based on the value of the image characteristic. Such a system may be used in a variety of applications, including video calls.

A system may include a first vehicle and a first control system that may control one or more vehicle operations of the first vehicle. The first control system may perform operations including receiving a first vehicle operation signal from a second control system associated with a second vehicle, sending one or more requests to one or more computing systems for a confirmation of the first vehicle operation signal, and determining a set of vehicle instructions to control the one or more vehicle operations based on whether one or more responses from the one or more computing systems provide the confirmation. The present disclosure relates to detecting the use of fake voice command to activate microphones of smart devices. In one embodiment, sound characteristics associated with an audio signal from a microphone of smart device may be compared with other microphones of the smart device in order to detect fake voice commands. In another embodiment, sound characteristics associated with the audio signal from the microphone may be compared with a threshold range of stored sound characteristics in order to detect fake voice commands. In some embodiments, a controller may triangulate a position associated with a source of a sound in order to detect a fake voice command. In a further embodiment, a controller may verify that a user or associated electronic device are near a smart device to authorize a voice command.

A system and method for high-precision automated guidance of a drone via a local (on-site) computing device for delivery of items is disclosed. The drone navigates to a location in proximity to the recipient's home using standard navigation protocols. Once the UAV arrives at this local destination, communication between the UAV and an on-site computing device occurs. The on-site device serves as a micro air-traffic controller to the UAV's precise drop off target location. The on-site device can provide approach vectors, guidance around obstacles and navigation instructions to a final micro-destination.
