A seat slide assembly includes a rail mechanism for slidably supporting a seat on a floor fixedly connected to the floor, an actuating means fixed connected to the rail mechanism through a bracket for actuating the rail mechanism, a bolt member fixed to the rail mechanism by welding and supporting on the bracket, a nut member for fixing the rail mechanism to the bracket by screwing with the bolt member, a groove formed on the nut member, a flange portion formed on the rail mechanism for supporting the nut member, and a projecting portion formed on the flange portion and fixedly inserted into the groove.

Lock assembly for pivotal vehicle seat

A reclining seat mechanism including a seat bracket carrying a seat cushion and a seat back plate mounted on the seat bracket for swinging movement about a shaft and carrying a seat back. A tilting angle adjusting mechanism is provided for adjusting the tilting angle of the seat back. The adjusting mechanism is provided with a tilting angle memorizing mechanism for mechanically memorizing the tilting angle of the seat back so that the memorized position can be restored when the seat back is once folded forward and returned to the tilted position. The memorizing mechanism can be actuated by the same actuating lever as the tilting angle adjusting mechanism.

The intermediate bracket carries a latch and a release lever. The release lever is connected to a latch for securing the seat cushion to the vehicle floor by a cable.

A locking mechanism for a vehicle seat having a seat cushion and a backrest is disclosed. The locking mechanism includes of a bracket fixed to the vehicle floor and provided with an elongated vertical groove. A locking pin fixed to the seat cushion is guided in the elongated groove of the bracket. A first latch is pivotably mounted on the bracket and provided with an engaging groove engageable with the locking pin, as well as a projecting portion and a sliding face. A second latch is pivotably mounted on the bracket and is provided with a recessed portion engageable with the locking pin, as well as a cam surface engageable with the projecting portion of the first latch. The engaging groove of the first latch is urged into engagement with the locking pin by a first spring while the recessed portion of the second latch is urged into engagement with the locking pin by a second spring. A wire is engaged between the backrest and the first latch.

A stepwise seat slide adjuster for vehicles includes a stationary lower guide rail adapted to be mounted to a vehicle floor, an upper guide rail adapted to be mounted to a vehicle seat and capable of a longitudinally sliding movement relative to the lower guide rail, a manually operated lever having a first pawl pivotally supported on the upper guide rail and releasably engaging any one of the latch teeth formed along the longitudinal edge of the lower guide rail, and a second pawl actuated in response to the release action of the manual lever which disengages the first pawl from the tooth with which it engages, so that the first pawl can backward stepwise slide to a latch tooth which corresponds to a selected seat position and engage with the tooth.
