A medical adhesive sheet comprising a support and an adhesive layer formed on one side of said support, wherein the adhesive layer comprises an adhesive polymer having a weight average molecular weight of not less than 2,000,000, preferably not less than 2,500,000, and at least one plasticizer compatible with said polymer. The medical adhesive sheet of the present invention simultaneously satisfies the adhesive property to the skin and low irritation property, since it can retain the plasticizer in the adhesive layer, even without a crosslinking treatment. The effects of the present invention can be exerted irrespective of the kind of functional group that the plasticizer and drug have.

A medical adhesive sheet comprising a support having a laminate structure comprising a non-porous sheet and a porous-sheet, and a pressure-sensitive layer comprising an acrylic polymer prepared by polymerizing an alkyl (meth)acrylate as a main component monomer, and an organic liquid component which is compatible with the acrylic polymer, formed on the porous sheet side of the support, the layer being subjected to a crosslinking treatment, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is embedded in the porous sheet, reaching the laminate interface between the non-porous sheet and the porous sheet. The medical adhesive sheet has improved anchoring property of its pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to the support while exhibiting a good balance between adhesion to the skin and low irritation to the skin.

The present invention provides a percutaneous absorption preparation which hardly causes the coloration phenomenon and is excellent in the stability of the drug content. The percutaneous absorption preparation comprises a support and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on at least one side of the support, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains a percutaneous absorptive drug and at least one of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole and propyl gallate, with the proviso that the percutaneous absorptive drug is not 6-amino-5-chloro-1-isopropyl-2-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)benzimidazole and pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.

Percutaneous absorption preparation

A percutaneous absorption type preparation comprising a support and a plaster layer laminated thereon, which composes tulobuterol in a proportion of not less than 5 wt % in a dissolution state and an adhesive. The preparation of the present invention retains the active ingredient, tulobuterol, at a high concentration in a complete dissolution state in the plaster layer. Therefore, it is free of time-course changes in drug releasing property and adhesive property caused by precipitation of drug crystals with the lapse of time. The inventive preparation is superior in percutaneous absorption of the drug, particularly percutaneous absorption rate at the initial stage of the administration; shows superior duration of efficacy by maintaining effective blood concentration for a long time; and is associated with less changes with the lapse of time in adhesive property such as adhesion to the skin.

A surgical dressing comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which comprises a polytetrafluoroethylene film support having provided thereon a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, in which the polytetrafluoroethylene film support is a uniaxially stretched porous film and the adhesive tape has a load at 50% extension of not lower than 50 g/15 mm and lower than 200 g/15 mm. The surgical dressing does not involve irritation and can be applied with easy stretch to even the part of the body having a special contour, such as the tip of a finger or a joint, with good adhesion and can follow the movement of the part to which it is stuck.

Method for preparing a medical adhesive sheet

A percutaneous absorption preparation for use in the administration of isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) as a coronary vasodilator into the living body by percutaneous absorption, which has excellent adhesion to the skin and does not cause pain and damage to stratum corneum when peeled off, is disclosed. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprises an acrylic copolymer prepared by copolymerization of a monomer mixture comprising a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester and a functional monomer as the essential components, a fatty acid ester having a specified number of carbon atoms, a monoglyceride having a specified number of carbon atoms, and ISDN, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is crosslinked. Since its skin adhesive property is improved by the inclusion of the monoglyceride, release of ISDN is improved and the area of the preparation can be decreased.

This invention provides a percutaneous absorption preparation for use in the percutaneous administration of drugs for percutaneous absorption into the living body for the purpose of preventing or treating various diseases, which has excellent adhesion to the skin and does not cause pain and damage to corneum when peeled off. Its pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains an acrylic copolymer comprising a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester and a functional monomer as essential components, a fatty acid ester having a specified number of carbon atoms, a monoglyceride having a specified number of carbon atoms and a drug for percutaneous absorption, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is crosslinked. Since its skin adhesive property is improved by the inclusion of the monoglyceride, release of the drug from the preparation is improved and the area of the preparation can be miniaturized.

A percutaneous absorption preparation comprising a support and, formed on one side thereof, a plaster layer comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive and tulobuterol in an amount not lower than its saturation solubility in the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the tulobuterol contained in the plaster layer consisting of dissolved tulobuterol and crystalline tulobuterol with the ratio of the content of the crystalline tulobuterol to that of the dissolved tulobuterol being from 0.1 to 10.

A package structure, in which a drug-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprising a support, a drug-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and a separator in this order is packaged and sealed in a packaging material, is disclosed, wherein unevenness is provided on at least one of the surface of the support on the side in contact with the inside of the packaging material, the surface of the separator on the side in contact with the inside of the packaging material, and the inside surface of the packaging material. The unevenness reduces the contact area between the packaging material and the sheet so that an adhesive, a plasticizer or any liquid component of the adhesive layer is prevented from adhering to the inside of the packaging material. Therefore, the sheet can easily be taken out of unit package on use.
