Both a mold blade for forming sipes and the sipe so formed in a tire tread element have three-dimensional portions. In the formed sipe, the three-dimensional portion creates a constant interlocking of the opposing sipe faces. The blade and the sipe have two radially adjacent rows of projections, wherein the projections are separated by a planar section, the planar section having a defined length and width.

A vehicle tire having a non-uniformly profiled tread with respect to its center, with a circumferential extending superwide groove having a width of at least 30 mm provided in one half of the tread and two further circumferential grooves which are narrower in comparison thereto and which have at most a width of 15 mm being provided in the other tread half.

A vehicle tire is described having at least one carcass ply extending between bead regions, a tread region ( ) and a belt arrangement ( ) disposed between the carcass and the tread as well as a tread profile provided in the tread region having at least one overwide circumferential groove ( ) disposed in particular away from the middle and on the inner side of the tire, with the tire region disposed beneath the overwide circumferential groove, which has in particular a width of more than 30 mm, being formed with additional localised reinforcement in the axial direction.

A vehicle tire having a directionally bound tread pattern is described in which an inner circumferential groove is provided on both sides of a central circumferential rib and in each case has a smaller width than the circumferential rib, and in which an intermediate tread zone is in each case formed between the inner circumferential groove and the respective outer circumferential groove in which oblique grooves are provided which are curved in an arc-shaped manner in the direction of the shoulder regions.
