A network may include an International Serials Data System (ISDS) that is configured to register and determine an identity of a receiving or originating user equipment (UE) that has a home network that operates using a different format or standard than the current network. The ISDS may be configured to generate transmissions on behalf of the UE for registration and identification for outgoing and incoming voice or text messages using the format of both networks.

Architecture for providing cellular roaming support

A system and method for a resilient and self-recovery IP multimedia subsystem. In response to a subscriber who is registered with a first S-CSCF, a second S-CSCF is established as well and a flag is provided to a database. The database stores data for the session. The second S-CSCF is concurrent and separate from the first S-CSCF. In addition, the restoration data element in the first S-CSCF is deactivated. When the first S-CSCF is timed-out or fail to respond, instead of sending a restoration data, the second S-CSCF activates the flag with the database so that the second S-CSCF may establish with the database to continue with the session for the subscriber. The database identifies the session and restores the session data for the second S-CSCF.

Self-healing and resilient IP multimedia subsystem core

An improved core network that allows a UE to still initiate and/or receive communications via a native SIM line even if the registration of a virtual line fails is described herein. For example, the UE may include embedded virtual line settings that, when enabled, cause the UE to transmit a virtual line registration request to the core network. The core network can determine whether the UE is authorized to register a virtual line. If the UE is authorized, the core network can register a native SIM line, register the virtual line, and transmit a single message to the UE indicating that the native SIM and virtual lines are registered. If the UE is not authorized, the core network still registers the native SIM line and transmits a single message to the UE indicating that the native SIM line is registered.

Virtual line registration system

An Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) application server can initially attempt to route a terminating call invite to a user equipment (UE) via a packet-switched (PS) domain radio access network (RAN). However, if that initial attempt fails, the application server can follow either a PS retry option to reattempt routing the terminating call invite via a PS-domain RAN, or a circuit-switched (CS) retry option to instead reattempt routing the terminating call invite via a CS-domain RAN. In some examples, if Home Subscriber Server (HSS) data indicates that the UE is connected to a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) RAN and that CS-domain location information for the UE is older than a threshold, the application server can enable the PS retry option. However, if the UE is connected to an LTE RAN but the CS-domain location information is more recent than the threshold, the application server can instead enable the CS retry option.

Mobile terminating call retry logic for multiple radio access technology types

In some implementations, a telecommunications network can include an anchoring network device. The anchoring network device can receive, from a first party of a communication session, a service message including information of a first session attribute and associated with identification information of a party of the communication session. The anchoring network device can retrieve, from an authorization registry, authorization information corresponding to the identification information. In response to the authorization information indicating the first session attribute is not permitted, the anchoring network device can determine a status message based at least in part on the service message and transmit the status message via a communications interface. The status message can include a service-failure message or a second service message including information of a second, different session attribute.

Network service access control

Multiple user devices may be associated with a single telephone number to enable a user to initiate and receive communication via the single telephone number from any of the multiple user devices. An input is received at a service portal of a mobile telecommunication network. The input configures multiple user devices to share a common telephone number to initiate and receive communications. The input is stored as a device association profile in a device association data store that is accessible by a call session control function (CSCF) node of the mobile telecommunication network. The CSCF node then further determines based at least on the device association profile whether a user device is eligible to use the common telephone number to initiate and receive communications via the mobile telecommunication network.

In some implementations, a telecommunications network can include an anchoring network device. The anchoring network device can receive, from a first party of a communication session, a service message including information of a first session attribute and associated with identification information of a party of the communication session.
