The disclosure relates to a glass and a melt solder for the passivation of semiconductor components, the use of the glass or the melt solder for the passivation of semiconductor components, a passivated semiconductor component and a method for passivating semiconductor components.

Glass and melt solder for the passivation of semiconductor components

The present disclosure relates to a glass composition as well as a glass powder. The disclosure also relates to the use in the dental field, e.g. as dental material such as dental filling or dental restauration material, in particular as or for the production of a glass ionomer cement, for example for the treatment and/or for the filling of cavities in human and/or animal teeth and/or for tooth restoration.

Glass composition and glass powder, in particular for the use in the dental field

The invention relates to a radiopaque glass having a refractive index nof 1.480 to 1.561, this glass, apart from impurities at most, being free from SrO and PbO. The glass is based on the SiO, AlOand BOsystem. The radiopacity can be adjusted using CsO in particular in combination with BaO and/or SnOoptionally in conjunction with fluorine. The glass may be used in particular as dental glass or as optical glass.

Radiopaque glass and use thereof

A conversion material for a white or colored light source is provided. The material includes a matrix glass that, as bulk material, for a thickness of about 1 mm, has a pure transmission of greater than 80% in the wavelength region from 350 to 800 nm and in the region in which the primary light source emits light, wherein the sum of transmission and reflection of the sintered matrix glass without luminophore is at least greater than 80% in the spectral region from 350 nm to 800 nm and in the spectral region in which the primary light source emits light.

Conversion material for white or colored light source, method of production, and light source having the conversion material

A feed-through component for a conductor feed-through which passes through a part of a housing, for example a battery housing, is embedded in a glass or glass ceramic material and has at least one conductor, for example an essentially pin-shaped conductor, and a head part. The surface, in particular the cross-sectional surface, of the head part is greater than the surface, in particular the cross-sectional surface, of the conductor, for example of the essentially pin-shaped conductor. The head part is embodied such that is can be joined to an electrode-connecting component, for example an electrode-connecting part, which may be made of copper, a copper alloy CuSiC, an aluminum alloy AlSiC or aluminum, with a mechanically stable and non-detachable connection.

Feed-through component

An electric energy production device or an electric energy storage device including a housing and a feed-through. The feed-through includes at least one body which has at least one opening through which the at least one conductor in an electrically insulating material is fed. The insulating material has a layer structure of at least two layers wherein a top layer being arranged towards the outside of the electric energy production device or the electric energy storage device consists of a sealing glass and an inner layer one of comprises and consists of a further glass material or glass ceramic material. The electrically insulated material is bonded with at least one of the base body and the conductor, wherein the sealing glass one of includes and consists of titanium glass.

Feedthrough

A material that is less populated by biofilms than known materials and is well tolerated by the body is provided. The material is an element introducible into or attachable on a human or animal body and includes a glass and/or glass ceramic and/or ceramic material at least in some areas thereof, which inhibits the formation of biofilms and/or on which human or animal cells grow if the element is introduced into the human or animal body or attached thereto, wherein the glass and/or glass ceramic material comprises at least: SiOin a range from 60 to 75 wt % and ZnO in a range from 1 to 7 wt %.

Medical glass element

The amorphous, or at least partially crystalline, glass-based joining material is suitable for high-temperature applications, particularly in fuel cells and/or sensors. In addition to SiOand BOas glass formers, the joining material similarly contains BaO and CaO, whereby the amount of AlOis limited. The joining material has a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of at least 7.0&#xb7;10Kin a range of 20&#xb0; C. to 300&#xb0; C. The joining material can be used for joining ferritic high-grade steels and/or chromium-containing alloys and/or ceramics, such as stabilized zirconium oxide and/or aluminium oxide.

Radiopaque glass and uses thereof

A feed-through, in particular a feed-through which passes through part of a housing, in particular a battery housing, for example made of metal, in particular light metal, for example aluminum, an aluminum alloy, AlSiC, magnesium, an magnesium alloy, titanium, a titanium alloy, steel, stainless steel or high-grade steel. The housing part has at least one opening through which at least one conductor, in particular an essentially pin-shaped conductor, embedded in a glass or glass ceramic material, is guided. The base body is, for example, an essentially annular-shaped base body and is hermetically sealed with the housing part such that the helium leakage rate is smaller than 1*10mbar l/sec.

Feed-through

A feed-through includes at least one main body which has at least one opening through which at least one conductor in an electrically insulating material comprising or consisting of a sealing glass is fed, wherein the main body comprises or consists of a light metal and/or a light metal alloy, with an integral bond being formed between the light metal and/or the conductor and the sealing glass, wherein the sealing glass comprises or consists of a titanate glass and has only a small phosphate proportion.

A feed-through element for harsh environments is provided that includes a support body with at least one access opening, in which at least one functional element is arranged in an electrically insulating fixing material. The electrically insulating fixing material contains a glass or a glass ceramic with a volume resistivity of greater than 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;cm at the temperature of 350&#xb0; C. The glass or a glass ceramic has a defined composition range in the system SiO&#x2014;BO-MO.

Feed-through element for harsh environments

A feed-through, for example a battery feed-through for a lithium-ion battery or a lithium ion accumulator, has at least one base body which has at least one opening through which at least one conductor, for example a pin-shaped conductor, embedded in a glass material is guided. The base body contains a low melting material, for example a light metal, such as aluminum, magnesium, AlSiC, an aluminum alloy, a magnesium alloy, titanium, titanium alloy or steel, in particular special steel, stainless steel or tool steel. The glass material consists of the following in mole percent: 35-50% PO; 0-14% AlO; 2-10% BO; 0-30% NaO; 0-20% MO, with M being K, Cs or Rb; 0-35% LiO; 0-20% BaO; and 0-10% BiO, the glass material being free of lead except for contaminants.
