A dashboard of a motor vehicle passenger car, includes an upper part which covers installations. The installations and the upper part are provided with meshing fastening structure, which are positioned toward the top corner relative to the interior of the motor vehicle and can be fitted together in this direction. This arrangement accommodates assembly of the upper part after a vehicle windshield is installed.

Dashboard of a passenger motor vehicle and method of making same

The invention relates to a component, in particular a crossmember for arranging between A-pillars of a motor vehicle, having an essentially tubular base body in which at least one duct is provided. In order to provide an improved lightweight component which can be produced in a more simple manner using fewer working steps and therefore more cost-effectively and in which, in an advantageous manner, a duct can be integrated, it is proposed that the base body is lined on the inside with plastic in order to form duct walls consisting of plastic. The component according to the invention is used as a dashboard support in a motor vehicle.

Structural part for a motor vehicle

Disclosed is a component in a hybrid construction, in particular a cross member for arranging between A-pillars of a motor vehicle, having a shell-shaped base body which is stiffened by plastic reinforcing ribs and in which at least one duct is provided. In order to be able to integrate a duct in an advantageous manner, it is proposed that the duct is formed at least in some areas from a plastic shell which is injected together with the reinforcing ribs, extends in the longitudinal direction of the component and can be closed by means of a cover so as to form the duct. The component according to the invention is used as a dashboard support in a motor vehicle.

A cross member in a hybrid motor vehicle construction is arranged between A-columns of a motor vehicle. The cross member has a basic body which is widened in a center area at least on one side and is designed as part of a housing of a heating and/or air conditioning system.

Cross member in a hybrid construction and method of making same

The invention relates to a subassembly for a cockpit of a motor vehicle, having a heating or air-conditioning housing which is arranged in the center console and has at least two housing parts and at least one air guide duct for guiding air at a controlled temperature to air outlet openings arranged in the cockpit. The subassembly includes a T-shaped structural unit, on which a large number of functional components of the cockpit can be mounted formed from an air guide duct having a shell-like duct component and the housing. The shell-like duct component can be covered to form the air guide duct. The present invention further relates to a method of producing the subassembly.
