New diorganyl diselenide-clubbed quaternary purine are described herein, as well as the use of such diorganyl diselenide compounds in forming anticorrosion coatings for metal. Also described are methods for forming the new diorganyl disleenides compounds as well as anti-corrosion coatings containing the diorganyl disleenides compounds.

New selenated thiourea hybrid compounds are described herein, as well as the use of such selenated thiourea hybrid compounds in inhibiting corrosion of a steel material. Also described are methods for forming the new selenated thiourea hybrid compounds as well as anti-corrosion coatings containing the selenated thiourea hybrid compounds.

Novel organoselenium selective ligands are presented and designed to determine metal ions in a sample. These ligands are used as complexing agents in a dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction procedure of copper and zinc ions. The procedure has a shortened extraction time, minimal organic solvent types, and lower amounts of solvents, as well as easy operation and high enrichment efficiency.

Covid-19 binding aerosols are provided. The Covid-19 binding aerosols include FeOmicroparticles, at least one organoselenium compound, at least one essential oil, and incense. The Covid-19 binding aerosols may be formulated for use in any product that is capable of emitting aerosols, including but not limited to as air fresheners, as incense, or the like. The FeOmicroparticles may have an average size of 5,000 nm-10,000 nm (between 5-10 μm). The Covid-19 binding aerosols are formulated as aerosol compositions having an average size of greater than 60 μm-100 μm to ensure effective binding to virions.

Methods for making selective organoselenium-based ligands for the dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction of copper and zinc ions

Novel organic selenide compounds that can be used as a chemopreventive mixture against breast cancer. These compounds and compositions may be used alone or in conjunction with DPPD. Likewise, the present subject matter relates to the use of N, N′-Diphenyl-1,4-phenylenediamine (DPPD) as a synthetic antioxidant supplementation to enhance breast cancer complications.

A diselenide protective film, a method of using the diselenide protective film, and a method of making the diselenide protective film are provided. The diselenide protective film includes at least one of three novel diselenide organic polymer structures, and the film provides protection against corrosion of metals such as steel. The method of making the diselenide protective film comprising at least one of three novel diselenide organic polymer structures includes reacting a diselenide-based diamine with one of a diisocyanate, a diisocyanate and phosgene, or a diisocyanate, epichlorohydrin and potassium hydroxide.
