A respiratory pressure therapy (RPT) device is disclosed for treatment of respiratory-related disorders. The RPT device includes a pressure generator, a pneumatic block, a chassis and a device outlet for delivering a supply of flow of gas to a patient interface. The RPT device also comprises an integrated humidifier including a water reservoir. An RPT device is also disclosed that includes a wireless data communication interface integrated with the housing and configured to connect to another device or a network.

Respiratory pressure treatment system

A flow generator is configured to pressurize a flow of breathable gas to within a range of about 2-30 cm HO for delivery to a patient's airways. The flow generator includes a blower with at least one impeller and a motor configured to drive the at least one impeller. The flow generator also includes a substantially planar blower mount configured to support the blower. The blower mount includes a flexible blower receptacle portion configured to receive and support the blower. The blower receptacle portion includes an outlet opening that is axially aligned with an air outlet of the blower. The flow generator also includes housing that encloses the blower and the blower mount. The housing has an inner surface that engages a perimeter of the blower mount.

A water reservoir includes a reservoir base configured to hold a predetermined maximum volume of water to be used for humidification of pressurized breathable air, a reservoir lid pivotally connected to the reservoir base to allow the water reservoir to be movable between an open position and a closed position, the reservoir lid comprising an inlet and an outlet, and a seal configured to sealingly engage the reservoir lid and the reservoir base when the water reservoir is in the closed position, wherein the reservoir base includes an overfill protection element having an egress path for water at a predetermined location.

Humidifier reservoir

A water reservoir includes a water reservoir base configured to hold a volume of water to be used for humidification of pressurized breathable air, a water reservoir lid connected to the water reservoir base, and a compressible resilient portion configured to seal between the water reservoir base and the water reservoir lid. The base and the lid are movable relative to one another when connected whilst maintaining sealing therebetween due to the compressible resilient portion. A retainer is configured to secure the water reservoir to a water reservoir dock, and has a protrusion or recess to releasably engage one another when the water reservoir is received in the dock, with a reaction force to compression of the compressible resilient portion urging the protrusion and the recess into engagement with one another.

A connection assembly for a respiratory therapy system, comprising: an outlet assembly, said outlet assembly including an outlet housing and a swivelling disc located on said outlet housing, said outlet housing and said swivelling disc defining, at least in part, a recess; an outlet connector located at an end of a tube portion, said outlet connector including an electrical connector; and a cable having a first end to connect to the electrical connector and a second end to connect to at least one electrical component of the respiratory therapy system, said cable having a slack portion, wherein said outlet connector and said swivelling disc are rotatable in unison between a first position and a second position, and wherein the slack portion of the cable extends from the recess and wraps around the swivelling disc as the swivelling disc is rotated from the first position to the second position.

Humidifier reservoir and/or components thereof for positive airway pressure delivery console

A reservoir configured to retain a volume of liquid for use in an apparatus for humidifying a flow of pressurised air comprises a base portion and a lid portion. The reservoir may be configured to improve its level of thermal contact to the heater plate using the flow of pressurised air. The reservoir may be configured to improve thermal contact between the reservoir and the heater plate by pre-compression upon engagement of the reservoir with the humidifier. The reservoir may comprise a removable intermediate portion, which may include the inlet tube and/or the outlet tube, for improved access for cleaning. The reservoir may also be configured to prevent overfilling. Overfill prevention features in the reservoir may include defined flow egress paths and/or formation of air locks.

A respiratory pressure therapy (RPT) device for pressurising breathable air to treat a respiratory disorder in a patient includes a pressure generator configured to pressurise breathable air, an RPT device inlet configured to receive breathable air from externally of the RPT device to be pressurised by the pressure generator, an RPT device outlet configured to be connected to an air circuit to direct breathable air pressurised by the pressure generator to the patient, a dock having a dock outlet and a dock inlet, and an external housing to enclose the pressure generator. The external housing forms an opening sized to alternatively receive an end cap or a water reservoir.

An integrated respiratory pressure therapy device and humidifier for pressurising and humidifying breathable air to treat a respiratory disorder in a patient, includes a blower configured to pressurise the breathable air; a water reservoir configured to hold a volume of water to be used for humidification of the breathable air, the water reservoir comprising a water reservoir base, a water reservoir lid connected to the water reservoir base, and a compliant portion. The compliant portion is constructed from an elastomeric material and configured to seal between the water reservoir base and the water reservoir lid. A water reservoir dock forms a cavity configured to partially receive the water reservoir. The water reservoir lid includes a protrusion and the water reservoir dock includes a recess configured to releasably engage one another to secure the water reservoir to the water reservoir dock.

A patient interface is configured to deliver breathable gas to a patient. The patient interface includes a cushion configured to form a seal with the patient's face and a frame with an elongated body comprising a central bore and a circumferential channel. The circumferential channel is configured to receive a rim of the cushion. Headgear is attachable to the frame and is configured to support the cushion and the frame on the patient's head. The headgear includes a left rigidizer attached to a left front strap and a right rigidizer attached to a right front strap. The left and right rigidizers are arranged to have different flexibilities in different directions so that a stiffness of the left and right rigidizers in a first direction resist a vertical rotation of the patient interface.
