A seat assembly includes a seatback having a top end. The seat assembly includes an arm supported by the seatback, and movable from a stowed position to a deployed position. The seat assembly includes a first webbing guide supported by the seatback at the top end. The seat assembly includes a second webbing guide fixed to and movable with the arm, the second webbing guide at the top end of the seatback with the arm at the stowed position, and the second webbing guide spaced from the seatback in a seat-forward direction with the arm at the deployed position. The seat assembly includes a retractor supported by the seatback at the top end. The seat assembly includes a webbing extending from the retractor through the first webbing guide and the second webbing guide.

Vehicle seat and seatbelt assembly

A vehicle includes a hood having a vehicle-rearward end and a vehicle-forward end. An airbag is disposed below the vehicle-rearward end of the hood and is inflatable to the vehicle-forward end below the hood. A pyrotechnic actuator is disposed below the vehicle-forward end of the hood. A tether extends from the pyrotechnic actuator to the airbag.

Airbag inflatable under vehicle hood

A vehicle includes a vehicle seat having a seatback and a seat bottom defining an occupant-seating area. The vehicle includes an airbag housing having a first arm fixed to the seatback and a second arm rotatable from the seatback toward the seat bottom adjacent the occupant-seating area. An airbag extends from the first arm to the second arm. The airbag is fixed to the first arm and the second arm. The vehicle includes a computer including a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to detect a removeable child-restraint system (CRS) on the occupant-seating area, and based on the detection of the removeable CRS on the occupant-seating area, inflate the airbag in response to detection of certain vehicle impacts.

Airbag assembly for child-restraint system

A door for a vehicle includes a door panel. An airbag is mounted to the door panel and is inflatable to an inflated position. A trim panel includes a base segment fixed to the door panel. The trim panel includes a releasable segment positioned to be impacted by the airbag during inflation of the airbag. The releasable segment has a first end and a second end and is elongated between the first end and the second end. A hinge is between the releasable segment and the base segment. The hinge is at the first end of the releasable segment and defines an axis of rotation about which the second end of the releasable segment is rotatable.

Door-mounted airbag assembly

An airbag assembly includes an uninflatable segment having a top end. The airbag assembly includes an airbag segment inflatable to an inflated position. The airbag segment is supported by the uninflatable segment in the inflated position. A conduit segment is fixed to the uninflatable segment and defines a gas passageway in fluid communication with the airbag segment. The conduit segment is elongated along a first axis transverse to the top end of the uninflatable segment, and the airbag segment is elongated along a second axis transverse to the first axis.

Downwardly inflatable vehicle airbag

A restraint system includes a retractor housing, a webbing spool rotatably coupled to the retractor housing and defining an axis of rotation, a wire spool lockable to the webbing spool, a die fixed relative to the retractor housing, and a wire fixed to the wire spool and engaged with the die.

A vehicle includes a vehicle floor and a post supported by the vehicle floor. The post is translatable relative to the vehicle floor. The vehicle includes a support member mounted to the post. The support member is rotatable relative to the post. The vehicle includes an airbag supported by the support member.

Slidable post with airbag for wheelchair occupants

A trim panel assembly for a vehicle door includes a trim panel having an inboard side and an outboard side. An inflatable device is supported by the trim panel. The inflatable device is inflatable from an undeployed position to a deployed position. The inflatable device includes a deployable device expandable in a direction away from the inboard side of the trim panel and in a direction away from the outboard side of the trim panel from the undeployed position to the deployed position. The deployable device is a thermoplastic elastomer. The inflatable device includes an airbag supported by the deployable device in the inflated position. The airbag is a woven fabric.

Deployable device for vehicle door

A system includes a seatbelt anchor, a seatbelt webbing extending from the seatbelt anchor; and a motor operatively coupled to the seatbelt anchor to move the seatbelt anchor between a first position and an extended position. The system includes a computer having a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to activate the motor to move the seatbelt anchor from the first position to the extended position in response to determining that tension in the seatbelt webbing is above a predetermined threshold in the absence of detection of a vehicle impact.

Extendable seatbelt anchor

A seat system includes a seat having a seatback and an arm supported by the seatback. The arm is extendable from a stowed position to an intermediate position and pivotable in a seat-forward direction from the intermediate position to a deployed position. A webbing guide is fixed to and movable with the arm. The webbing guide is at a top end of the seatback when the arm is at the stowed position and the webbing guide is spaced from the seatback in the seat-forward direction when the arm is at the deployed position. A retractor is supported by the seatback at the top end and a webbing extends from the retractor through the webbing guide.

Seatbelt guide mechanism

A vehicle includes a vehicle frame and a swing arm rotatably coupled to the vehicle frame at a rotatable connection. A track curves along a curved path. The track is fixed relative to the swing arm and spaced from the rotatable connection. An anchor is fixed relative to the vehicle frame. The track is slideably engaged with the anchor along the curved path of the track. A pyrotechnic actuator is between the vehicle frame and the swing arm.

Rotatable wheel deflector

An assembly includes a seat bottom. The assembly includes a seatback supported by and movable relative to the seat bottom between an upright position and a reclined position. The assembly includes an actuator supported by the seat bottom and operatively coupled to the seatback to move the seatback from the reclined position to the upright position. The assembly includes a computer having a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to command the actuator to move the seatback to the upright position in response to detecting a pending vehicle impact.

Vehicle seat assembly

A vehicle body includes a door opening frame including a sill and a front portion and a rear portion each extending upwardly from the sill. The door opening frame has a top portion extending along a vehicle-longitudinal axis from the front portion to the rear portion. An airbag is mounted to the sill. A front cable and a rear cable are each connected to the airbag. At least one cable retractor is mounted to the vehicle body above the top portion of the door opening frame. The front cable in the undeployed position is packaged along the front portion and the top portion of the door opening frame from the airbag to the at least one cable retractor. The rear cable in the undeployed position is packaged along the rear portion and the top portion of the door opening frame from the airbag to the at least one cable retractor.

An assembly includes a door panel. The assembly includes a door-trim panel movably supported by the door panel. The assembly includes an actuator between the door panel and the door-trim panel. The door-trim panel is selectively movable relative to the door panel in a cross-vehicle direction by the actuator.

A seatbelt retractor includes a frame and a spool rotatably supported by the frame. A ring is coaxial with the spool on a rotational axis and is selectively lockable with the spool. A locking device is operatively coupled between the spool and the ring to rotationally engage the spool with the ring in a locked position and rotationally disengage the spool from the ring in an unlocked position. One of the ring or the frame defines a recess and an arm is fixed to and extends from the other of the ring or the frame into the recess. When the locking device is in the locked position, the arm is elastically bendable relative to the ring and the frame when rotational force on the ring relative to the frame about the rotational axis exceeds a non-zero threshold to allow rotation of the ring relative to the frame.
