The present disclosure relates to apparatus and processes for pyrolysis of feeds, such as plastic feeds. In at least one embodiment, a process includes introducing a plastic melt including a plastic component into a reactor via a nozzle coupled with the reactor. The process includes introducing a catalyst into the reactor via a first conduit coupling the reactor with a riser or a regenerator. The process includes pyrolyzing the plastic component to form a pyrolysis product. The process includes removing the pyrolysis product from the reactor via a second conduit disposed at a top ½ height of the reactor. The process includes removing the catalyst from the reactor via a third conduit disposed at a bottom ½ height of the reactor, wherein the catalyst removed from the reactor comprises ash.

Apparatus and processes for pyrolysis of plastic feeds

A thermal conveyance system and process for absorbing, transporting, storing, and recovering thermal energy (both hot and cold energy) over a wide range of temperatures from up to 2,100&#xb0; F., or higher, or cool energy at subzero temperatures in inert and stable particles without the need to maintain a minimum temperature or requiring high system pressures. The process involving the transferring thermal energy to a first transfer fluid and recovering thermal energy from a second transfer fluid wherein the first and the second transfer fluids comprise a two phase thermal media including a gaseous carrier containing a quantity of micron to millimeter sized solid particles.

Process and system for hot and/or cold energy transfer, transport and/or storage

A fluidized bed reactor includes a gas distributor, a tapered section above the gas distributor, and an expanded head above the tapered section. The gas distributor defines a plurality of inlets surrounding a product withdrawal tube, which extends away from the fluidized bed reactor. The fluidized bed reactor is useful in a process for fluidizing relatively large particles, such as Geldart Group B particles and/or Geldart Group D particles, where said particles are in a bubbling fluidized bed residing, in whole or in part, in the tapered section. The fluidized bed reactor and process may be used for manufacturing polycrystalline silicon.
